  • The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone offers different dramatic looks and moods dependent on the time of day. The falls are luminous in the morning. In the evening when this photo was taken, the canyon takes on a soft, almost painterly light. If you can, make a visit right after sunrise and return for the sunset.

  • We visited this location but ideally needed to be there in the afternoon as the sun was on the "wrong" side of the arch. I used a wide lens to capture the arch and didn't attempt to correct the distortion as I felt it added to the picture (for me anyway). It took a long time to get this without hoardes of people in the shot.

Our stay was overall very pleasant. The house was very clean and all amenities were provided. The owner was very responsive and communicative as well! The only con: the house is not very well-lit in the dark and can be a little hard to identify if you arrive past sundown.

10 out of 10 highly recommended. The house was perfectly located and very clean. The master bedroom bed was so soft that we slept like a baby. The view of the river from the front porch is stunning plus the elk hang out in this area a lot. I would definitely bring my family back to stay here. Thank you Carman for your hospitality

The house is located on the beautiful river and was very comfortable and clean. The property manager was very responsive to questions asked. The house was well equipped for cooking and bathrooms were well stocked. Excellent house for 6 adults and close to park.

Carmen was fantastic! She communicated quickly and kindly. The property was amazing, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, QUIET and oh the Stargazing! This home had everything one would need when away from home. The beds and linens were incredible comfortable, and the kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed the sound of the river, watching eagles soar above us and the elk as the grazed on the grasses just across the river. We even got to see several elk swim to get to the other side. We relaxed so much, we didn't want to leave! Thanks Carmen, we hope to return one day.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this home in early July while visiting Yellowstone. The moment we dove up, we interrupted an elk party that was happening in the back yard! There were 8-10 elk munching away and they were as surprised to see us as we them. The home is nicely furnished with an amazing view of the Yellowstone River. Located just a few minutes outside of town, although centrally located it seemed like a secluded oasis. Everything was clean and well kept. If we ever visit Yellowstone again, this home would be our first choice.

Great Riverside House

We stayed here for the second half of our visit to Yellowstone National Park. Just 5 minutes from Gardiner and the park gate, yet you fee as though you are out in the wild when looking at the river view from the deck and living room. The house was very nice, clean and comfortable, and stocked with everything from coffee to laundry detergent. Carmen was a great host, and always responded quickly to messages.

Wonderful riverfront stay with access to Gardiner and Yellowstone

This property is very clean and very close to Gardiner and the North Yellowstone entrance. The yard and river access are a bonus and everything is very clean and user-friendly.

Pricing is deceptive

Practical home, served our purpose. We were only there to sleep, we were exploring during the day. We never cooked there. It says sleeps 10, but be aware that if you have any more than 8 people you will be charged 120 per night for each extra person, no matter their age. My granddaughter (ninth person) ended up not being able to go, but instead of being refunded the 240 extra we were charged, we were only refunded 80. We would not stay again.

Absolutely wonderful

We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our visit to Montana/Wyoming. The house was wonderful; very clean and had everything we needed. Sitting on the deck, watching the mountains and Yellowstone River was very peaceful and relaxing. It was exciting to watch the 40 to 50 Elk and geese, on different occasions graze in the yard then swim across the river. We only wish we had a longer stay.

Absolutely Phenomenal Property

Our stay was wonderful! This property and the house is beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice. We were out on the deck when a herd of at least 50 elk came by to graze and then when they were done, we watched them swim across the Yellowstone River to the other side. Perfect location for Yellowstone National Park and many fun activities like whitewater rafting. Highly recommend!!

Great Location!

Great Location Close to Yellowstone

House was clean and the host was super responsive. The location in terms of proximity to the park entrance was unbeatable. It took us about 8 minutes to get there. My boys enjoyed fishing on the lake directly behind the house.

Wonderful base for Yellowstone

The house was as advertised ... clean, nice, and fully functional. Most importantly for us, it was an easy drive to Yellowstone's north entrance (easier than the most used West Yellowstone) and Gardiner was a great little town.

Great location next to town and near entrance to park. We had 7 people, the listing says sleeps 10, I would say that’s a stretch! We had 4 adults and 3 college boys and some were sleeping on the couches. Clean, has everything, could use more large towels for showering

Bugling by the River

Great property! We found everything very neat and clean with everything we needed for a three night’s stay! Beds were very comfortable! Loved sitting out on the deck in the afternoon, having an adult beverage, and watching the elk and listening to the bulls bugle! The sound of the river immediately brought relaxation! Very much recommend!

Amazing location!

We loved staying at this location. It was extremely clean and comfortable. It was conveniently located near town but still very peaceful. There was an elk that stayed in the yard next door or down by the river. We sat on the front porch and watched her for hours.
