Charming 3BR / 3BA With Hot Tub, Fireplace & Pool Table

Charming and cozy, Trail’s End is uniquely positioned in one of the most beautiful corners of the Galena Territory. It is a perfect spot to quietly reflect or celebrate any and every occasion with family or friends. Enjoy a wooded view off the back deck while delighting in a glass of wine. Wildlife abounds! From every vantage point you can often see deer strolling through or wild turkey stopping by for a snack. Colorful birds of many types are impossible to miss in the trees and as they dine from the feeder!

Our comfortable home features 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths each located on a separate floor perfect for evening privacy. The main floor offers a bedroom (with queen bed) and bath, comfortable gathering area with an inviting stone fireplace, sunroom, and kitchen and dining area. The large outdoor deck is the perfect place to begin to unwind and start your visit. The upper level features a private bedroom (with a queen bed) and bath suite. The lower level hosts the third bedroom (with a king bed) and bath along with a regulation pool table, satellite TV, stereo, and entrance to the screened-in porch and hot tub. What better way to soothe yourself after a long day of activities or sightseeing?!

If it is sports you are looking for you don’t have to go very far! The Galena Territory offers the best golf in the state if Illinois! Rather be fishing? No problem, Lake Galena is only a short drive through the spectacular scenery of the Territory. You can rent a boat and be reeling them in within minutes! If you prefer hiking, horseback riding, swimming, tennis, volleyball, basketball, hot air ballooning, star gazing, or any number of other exciting activities you won’t have to go very far!

The historic town of Galena offers even more golf, downhill skiing and snowboarding, luge rides, historical tours and moped tours, wining and dining, antiquing and boutiquing, spa experiences, sightseeing trolley rides, museums, and the list goes on…

Cross the mighty Mississippi into nearby Dubuque Iowa and even more experiences await! Try your luck at riverboat casino gambling, do some intense cave exploring, meander through beautiful art galleries, check out the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, and enjoy restaurants of all ethnicities. This was a good stay. The surrounding area was beautiful and full of wildlife. There were plenty of birds and squirrels and even some deer. There were plenty of good places to eat and drink and scenic buildings. Even quite a few historical buildings including grants home. The hot tub was amazing. The kitchen was well appointed. I would highly recommend this place

This home was perfect for the winter weekend getaway with friends. We enjoyed the fireplace, sauna, and being close to town. We also enjoyed the turkeys, deer and red headed woodpecker that visited the property. We will be back.

What an awesome place to relax and have fun during our exteded ski weekend (6 people). The host was great. The home is beautiful and clean. Just 18 minutes to Chesnut ski and 15 minutes to Galena. Highly recommend!!!

Trails End was a beautifully appointed home on the edge of the Galena Territory, which meant privacy, peace and lovely vistas. The home was a wonderful space for several adults with the upstairs and downstairs available for gathering. The kitchen table was big enough for puzzles and games (a must in our book!) and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook all meals. It was a lovely walk in either direction from the property after a long day of post-Christmas binging. The hot tub was fantastic in the cold weather. Even the pool table came in handy when we needed to move around after hours of reading. Ginger was a wonderful hostess and contacted us prior to our stay to answer any questions. This was the first time ever that has happened with a host! We've rented several properties in the Galena Territories and this by far was our favorite.

I have stayed at various homes in The Galena Territory for many years and this is the absolute nicest home I've stayed in. The towels in the bathrooms were like new and there was not one item in the kitchen that was missing. Firewood was provided which was much appreciated.We love to watch the birds and the feeders along with plenty of bird seed was a bonus.There wasn't one thing missing to make this stay as enjoyable as it was.This is not just a rental, but a true home away from home and that's because the owner, Ginger, goes above and beyond to make sure of it.

We had a perfect weekend! The home is great and the drive into town this time of year is beautiful! It's very welcoming and inviting and super easy getting in. Ginger checked in before our trip to introduce herself and see if we needed any additional information. We enjoyed relaxing afternoons on the screen porch and unwinding in the hot tub after dinner. Everyone had plenty of space and felt totally relaxed. With the wineries, shopping and great restaurants it was the perfect location for a girls weekend! Highly recommend!

This property worked really well for our visit to the Galena area. It is charming, very quiet and peacefully set in the woods. The communication with Ginger was very good. Wedding getaway

We vacation with our adult family of 10, every year in the Territory for over 30 years. This time we needed a smaller home because our grandson was getting married. Your location was closer to the venue. In comparison to our other experiences, I was disappointed there new not the extras we have gotten used to. There is always a welcome basket with treats. There are always paper/plastic items in the kitchen. ( plates, napkins, baggies, etc). The home was lovely and cute. We did see what looked like a mountain lion walking along your property going into the brush.
