"Beautiful bedroom very large and spacious, as was the en-suite shower room. The bed and bedding were excellent and I had a wonderful nights sleep. The water in the shower was hot and a good pressure. However the flush for the toilet was not working. I would also recommend the owners supply bedside lights as there were none and the main light switch was over by the door. A kettle and teabags/coffee were provided in the room but no milk or water. "The pub is friendly with good food and staff. The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. "

"not a good sleep the first night due to a machine in the courtyard for freezing purposes. apparently the normal freezer had broken. however after we complained we were moved to another room which was a lot better in fact an upgrade on our previous room hopefully the university of cambridge will rectify this in the not to distant future. the staff were excellent"

"It's a lovely building close to the M11 in lovely grounds with parking. What I didn't like was check in at 4pm, it's out of step with most other places which are 3pm. Most hotels can get the rooms ready 11-3pm. The room was very small and the style was very dated, the rooms away from the main building are not well signed and a room for 2 people had no hand towels, 2 bath towels and the only toiletries was a minuscule bar of soap, no shower gel or shampoo.
