Big Red Bunk Haus is a 3,500 sq. ft. home just minutes from wineries, shopping, museums, and hiking is the perfect place for family and friends to gather. This 8 bedroom, 4.5 bath home offers two living areas, a kitchen fully-stocked with professional-grade pots, pans, knives & utensils, and a swimming pool for your ideal getaway. It's perfect for night owls and early birds, as no one is expected to sleep in the downstairs common area. 11 ft. ceilings and 8 ft. solid-core doors accommodate even the tallest of Texans. Downstairs there is an open-concept living/ dining/ kitchen great room, 2 master bedrooms (both with king beds) with en suite bathrooms, a 3 bedroom suite (bdrm 1-queen, bdrm 2- double, bdrm 3- queen + twin) with a full bathroom, bedroom off kitchen with queen bed, half bathroom, and laundry room,. Upstairs you will find 2 more bedrooms (bdrm 1- queen + twin floor mattress, bdrm 2- full over twin bunk bed + twin floor mattress), a second living room (with 2 full-size futons), and another full bathroom. Outside relax on the wide back porch, in the pool or the picnic tables under the shady oaks.

It's easy to take advantage of all the attractions just minutes away- 7 minutes to shopping on Main Street, 10 minutes to HWY 290 wineries, 15 minutes to Luckenbach, and 30 minutes to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. Groceries and supplies are also nearby- 10 minutes to Walmart, 12 minutes to HEB and 7 minutes to Short Stop convenient store.

Big Red offers the serenity of the country with the convenience of the city.

Big Red is situated on pastoral farmland. The home feels very private, but there are neighbors nearby and ask that all guests act accordingly. Quiet hours must be observed between 10 PM and 7 AM. House Rules must be adhered to; no guns, no fireworks, and fires are the biggies. These rules protect our neighbors. Violating these will result in losing your deposit and being asked to vacate the property without a refund. We want everyone to have a good time at our home, but we can't stress enough how important it is to protect those around us.

Start of Summer Tradition

We get a VRBO every year for two families over Memorial Day Weekend in the Texas Austin/Hill Country area. This was our favorite to date. Easy drive to all wineries and Main Street Fredericksburg. But the rustic spot was such a plus!!! The patio and pool and tree swing and cows were blissful. Fantastic set up for 3 families with kids or a girls trip.

Family Christmas

The location was fantastic , there was 18 of us and we were very comfortable. More than enough room . They had made a cake for us ,it was great. The showers were great and for me , the best part was the kitchen . I love the cabinets and drawers . The home is so much bigger than expected . So much bigger. You won’t be dissatisfied. Plus, there was a Christmas tree already made for us . It’s a beautiful home.

Dirty 30 Birthday Weekend

This property was fabulous for our 30th birthday celebration. The home is so comfortable and the surroundings were beautiful. We so enjoyed having a bed for everyone and plenty of bathrooms to keep all 14 ladies perfectly happy. The cows and deer were an added bonus. We hope we have an opportunity to stay there again.

Home was perfect for 12 couples celebrating a weekend in Texas Wine Country! A close drive to town and to the wineries we chose to visit. We cooked our evening meals at the home. The kitchen was stocked with all of the items we needed!

Beautiful place

We had such an amazing time at this home. What a great place for a large group. They were very accommodating to what we needed. Had some special things waiting for us upon our arrival. Very spacious, clean and beautiful views. I would highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful for a large group!

This rental had plenty of space for all 14 of us. It was the perfect size. Everything was even better than the pictures! The pool was larger than expected. It fit all of us. The rental was very clean! I would recommend this place!

Amazing place!!!

There were 16 of us that stayed in this awesome barn and never felt cramped! The view in the morning is beautiful, kitchen is fully stocked and more than enough bedrooms for everyone. 10/10 would recommend!

Great place for a girls getaway!

15 women in our family and extended family gathered to celebrate my daughter’s upcoming wedding. There were plenty of rooms and plenty of bathrooms to accommodate our group. We walked into the kitchen to find a homemade lemon Bundt cake that was delicious. We have already started talking about staying there next year!

Thank you for a great weekend. Everything was perfect for our family. They enjoyed the games you provided and of course the pool. The kitchen had everything we needed. Appreciated all the bathrooms as well. No one felt crowded for space. We will be back next year.

Amazing Property!

Had a great time staying in such a gorgeous and unique house! Big enough for my entire immediate family to have our yearly reunion. Extremely accommodating, they provided us with everything and then some! Pool was AMAZING! Never too hot or too cold. Will definitely book this again if we go back up that way!

Wonderful Girls Weekend

Beautiful large home that was perfect for a large group! The home itself was clean, comfortable and well stocked but the views were the best! Very peaceful but still close to town. Added touch was the lemon cake and fresh flowers waiting for us.

Perfect house for a group

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is so well equipped with everything you need. The host went out of their way with extra special touches like roses and the best lemon cake. The beds and sheets are all comfortable. There was plenty of open space in the living room for us all to gather and a huge table. Not too far from Main Street or wineries. It was the perfect place to stay!

Best Place to stay in Fredericksburg!!

House and property is amazing! Plenty of room to lounge and entertain, BOTH inside & out! The kitchen and dining was great for large gatherings. THIS IS A FULLY STOCKED KITCHEN!! The host Russell was also great, he answered all our questions quickly. Horse shoe, tight rope, hammocks, pool, grills, and plenty of outdoor chairs made for a great time outside. WE WILL BE BACK!!
