Located in Franklin, NC, Pleasant Hill Getaway is a charming, quiet, separate lower level apartment nestled in a lush and blooming garden of a private home. Situated in the rolling hills of The Blue Ridge Mountains, Pleasant Hill Getaway offers comfort and relaxation after your latest fun and thrilling adventure. Only a few short minutes from Franklin's Main Street with boutique shopping, restaurants, coffeehouses, and the Scottish Tartan Museum. Two local Breweries right in town. Or travel to neighboring areas to steep yourself in quiet green forests and sparkling waterfalls.

One large bedroom sleeps 2 comfortably, with plenty of room to spread out your luggage and bags.
One bath with spacious walk-in shower, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, small desk area, living room with large smart TV with cable & internet streaming, outdoor porch seating to sip your morning coffee or enjoy a late afternoon snack in the warmth of the western sun.

Guests have private entrance & parking, air conditioning and heat, excellent cell service, internet and cable.
No pets allowed. No parties allowed. Smoking permitted only in outdoor porch area.
Security cameras outdoors in the parking area.

Owner lives in the top 2 stories of this private home with its own private entrance and parking.

Perfection

This was the perfect stay for me. I come on a business trip twice a year, and the location, speed of the Wi-Fi, and hospitalities were exceptional! As everyone else says here, I agree with it all, Bruce has the sweetest heart, the best green thumb ever, and makes certain you stay is the best possible. I will most definitely be returning and am definitely looking forward to my next visit. Also, for those who are a little nervous about driveways. This one is a touch steep, but once you go up it once or twice you have it down. It’s easy. This is coming from someone who is not so seasoned on driving in the mountains.

Great Place

This property is wonderful. Has so many amenities, and very clean. Bruce has a great eye for details. It’s in such a peaceful place. Has a great porch to sit and relax with a great view. Definitely would recommend and will be booking again. This is our second time there. Thank you Bruce!

Pleasant Hill Getaway.

My wife and I stayed here for a three day getaway and absolutely loved the place. The place was clean, comfortable and stocked with everything you would need on your vacation. I would definitely recommend Pleasant Hill Getaway and would stay here again should we return to the Franklin, Nantahala area. Thank You.

Wonderful stay

Bruce’s place was perfect. Location is so convenient to anything you might want to do in Franklin and surrounding areas. And the apartment is so clean and comfortable. We really looked forward to returning here every afternoon. It’s like coming home! The porch with a good book and glass of wine was so relaxing. Bruce has thought of everything and we sure hope to be back soon!

Extraordinary Getaway at Pleasant Hill

The apartment is beautiful with extraordinary decor. Great for a working vacation with a nice desk. Kitchen was stocked with sufficient dishes, utensils, etc. and easy to use. The front porch was a relaxing place to enjoy coffee in the morning & to unwind in the evening. Plantings were an added touch. This was my second stay. I thoroughly enjoyed both my stays & hope to return soon.

A little piece of paradise

This getaway is heavenly. The front porch has a beautiful view, yet feels private. There are beautiful flowers everywhere and hummingbirds to watch although you feel like you are out in the middle of nature, you are truly 5 minutes away from everything. Beautiful place

This VRBO is even better than it appears in the write up. Very clean, tastefully decorated and Bruce is so easy to work with. Very prompt with communication! There were fresh flowers from the gardens when we arrived and the entire experience was amazing! The front porch was private while allowing us to observe the gardens. Was a great place to relax with a glass of wine in the evening or a cup of coffee in the morning.

The beauty of the Smokies

This was the first time at Bruce Stout's place. It was very clean and quiet. We had a planned overnight hike at Mt LeConte, so this was the perfect place to stay for a few days. His place is beautiful with all the flowers

A quite place to that felt like heaven

Bruce the owner is amazing!! Easy to work with, very responsive and has an amazing green thumb. My hubby and I so love enjoyed staying here, it was very clean, very quiet, very peaceful and easy to get to and close to town without being in town. The whole place had everything you would want and need to enjoy your time there. Heck I could have just stayed there the whole time and read books on the porch area or on the couch. Great stay!

It was great being in town but tucked away in a quiet area, and we had every amenity we could possibly need! We especially appreciated the a/c in the bedroom and the surges with usb plug ins at each bedside. The unit was spacious, well decorated and super clean. Bed was comfy and as it was very quiet, we slept great! Plenty of parking for our large vehicle and a cute porch to sit and relax in the evening. As this was a yearly business trip, I'm sure we will be back!
