This place is such a hidden gem. It’s quiet, clean, and the deck/ porch overlooking the ocean is unbelievable. The host and caretaker were lovely. I’d go back in a second. Thanks for a fun weekend!

No doubt the view is epic. The accommodations were modest, and I can live with that, but the musty smell inside is overwhelming. The cottage could really use some TLC and a few upgrades to the bed, the furnishings and most importantly the musty moldy smell. Looks like maybe the roof leaks in the bedroom. However, the view was great and the company was even better, so all in all we had a great time

This place is in a GREAT location and has FANTASTIC view of the ocean. Plus, it was very clean! But I cannot believe other reviews did not mention how bad the bed & bedroom are.The bed was a deal breaker! It is a double bed, is way too hard and the bedroom is very small. There is like a foot on either side of the bed to get in & out. I should have know better as there was no picture of the bedroom in the ad. Live & learn. And … we could only see the address coming from the south. If you come from the north you can miss it entirely. We drove around quite a bit before we found it. Best to arrive during the day as the long driveway has hedges on both sides making it a bit dicey until you get to know it. Once there it is a great location. One more thing, we were given 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and one washcloth for 2 people 2 nights. This may have been an issue if we stayed the 2nd night. But we left early. Unfortunately we will not return and would not recommend to those who like a queen or king bed.

The view is fabulous here - ocean view and quiet surroundings. The deck and lower patio area are great. The cabin is nicely renovated with cool decor. The bed is very firm and a bit small - 6ft. people will be a bit cramped. Very clean - nice bathroom though small. We saw lots of cool birds and watched the bats early evenings - so cool against ocean backdrop.

This location is stunning! We enjoyed the property very much. The bed is a little snug if you’re used to a king size, but we made it work. The views and location made up for any inconvenience. If you stay here, we highly recommend taking a slow walk up and down the driveway. There’s so much to see!

Great Location - Horrible Bed

The owner replaced the previous bed (this is our 4th year staying for a week) with a hard mattress and pillows. Neither my husband or I slept well. This is a deal breaker for us. We hope that the previous bed is returned to this cottage or the current bed is replaced.

By far the best vrbo I have stayed in. The property is close to everything you will need but remote enough to feel disconnected from the busy world. The peace I desperately needed. I loved it here and plan to come back. Thank you!

Not what we expected for the price

The neighborhood was not what we thought it would be. The path to the house is in an alley behind a rundown little business district. Many of the houses in the alley have high gates with keep out on them and you have to wonder why. Then, you get the property and there is a huge house next to the bungalow. We did not know if people were in it or not. If they do rent this it is like sharing the parking level close. But the worst part was as soon as you walk into the house it absolutely reeks of mold/mildew. I have allergies and it was very difficult for me to breathe inside. We almost left it was so bad. If we hadn’t been awake 24hrs we would have. Then many small things point to this property not being well maintained. The toilet paper won’t stay on. The toilet seat was so worn and disgusting I almost didn’t want to touch it. I mean 20 bucks at the Home Depot and ten minutes with a screw driver fixes this. The sink stopper wouldn’t work. There were broken wires on the fence. The outlets weren’t grounded. There was a huge water stain on the ceiling which is probably why it smells like mold. I could not believe this was the most expensive place we booked on our trip to California. It was also the worst.

Awsome View

This is our second time staying here. The cottage is cozy and the right size to have someone over for a daytime visit. We built a fire in the pit and lounged on the outside couch overlooking the fabulous view!!

Cottage on the cliff

This property is all about the view… The Cottage itself is fairly simple… Has everything you need but the view is an 11 out of 10 for sure… We would definitely stay there again in a heartbeat.

I so enjoyed this and I'm thankful you share this amazing property! It was the best relaxation we've had in years. The waves crashing right in front of us with a fire going...nothing better! I loved the retro vibe and all necessities provided. I can't wait to go back!

“Uncomfortable as can be”

The view was absolutely beautiful! That’s it! The furniture was super uncomfortable, we couldn’t sit in the chairs and even the sofa was uncomfortable. They absolutely need new furniture. The mattress was too soft, we ended up sleeping in our sleeping bags on the floor in the front room. They were going for a mid-century modern vibe, but I think they should have gone for comfort.
