"Had a lovely little break with the family. Lodge was lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. Hot tub was a firm favourite with everyone, especially the kids. Would recommend this place to anyone"

"A very comfortable lodging above a store in Glastonbury. A beautiful secret garden entrance and easy shopping. Everything is very quiet at night with the town closing down early. There was parking close by and we walked everywhere the whole time we were there. Lilija on staff was kind and helpful."

"Our hosts Sarah & Andy could not have been more welcoming - absolutely wonderful, friendly people who went out of their way to look after us. English breakfast was superb with fresh #Farm local eggs & all the trimmings. Lovely to hear owls hoot at night & bird song in the morning. The night skies full of stars. Our room & shower were spotless! Well done 🙌"

"Graham met us on arrival at the Old Manor House and helped us set up the EV charging for our car. A bit easier than feeding the horses when this was the Kings Arms Coaching Inn and an important stage coach stop. We were very pleased to discover that the old Inn has been expertly converted into a very comfortable B&B without spoiling its 400 year old charm and nature. Although it is close to the road, any traffic noise is kept to a minimum by the carefully constructed secondary windows on the...

"Had a great stay here, a very large room and bathroom with extra touches. Water and snacks and a great hospitality tray. Their food was delicious with great service in restaurant and bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location for exploring the Gorge. Free parking as well, don’t forget to register your car at the bar. Would definitely recommend."

"Broke the journey to Cornwall staying here…very pleased with quality of food and excellent breakfast service. Would really recommend booking for food as every table in the evening reserved which is a great sign of the of the high standard of cooking. Room very good, clean and overall a great stop off"

"I've used the F&G over many years. It's a decent independent hotel which has recently refurbished at least some of its rooms. If you're fed up of chains, try the F&G."

"Brilliant hotel had a good night sleep no noise and the shower water was hot the only concern i had was the glass shower door when it stung open it almost hit the sink so i put a towel on the sink just incase my kids swung it open and smashed it "

"Lovely property that was fit for purpose. The staff were wonderful and the little touches such as the colouring pencils and cartoon characters for kids to colour and then paste on the reception wall was great. My daughter enjoyed that. "

"Very nice place with nice rooms, only thing I would say but it's not really a complaint I found the rooms a little dark due to no ceiling lights but that's it ."

"Stayed here for one night, staff were all very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in room 2 which was at the front. Lovely big room with 4 poster bed. Very comfortable and clean. There are lots of hotels in Wells but I’m glad we chose this one. "
