"Definitely consider a stay at the Flat Iron when in Asheville. The historic charm comes through the modern updates with thoughtful design. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a surprise beverage upon check-in. The bed is very comfortable and the shower water pressure is strong (bonus!). Location is walkable to several dining and beverage options, yet the blackout shades provided an environment for a restful sleep. Several thoughtful touches make this a memorable hotel. "Check-in was easy and fast. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Great pillows. The room was everything we had hoped for. We will definitely come back to this hotel next time we are in the area. The breakfast was regular hotel breakfast. I tried the sausage, eggs, biscuit and gravy. I only ate a bite of each. I would pass on that. Didn’t stay long enough to use the pool but it looked good. "

"The bathroom facilities were impeccable with nothing wanting. The bed was most comfortable like sleeping in a cloud. The breakfast menu was excellent especially the buffet. The buffet we ate both days. The efficiency and professionalism of all the staff could not have been better."

Our check in was smooth (we found out later it was actually the GM who checked us in), the hotel common areas and room are very clean (and I’m picky about cleanliness), we had a spacious corner room, and the bed was very comfortable.
