Torre de Monaldeschi is the ideal location for a holiday, either away from the crowds in the beautiful 'green heart of Italy' or as a central location for exploring Italy. The fabulous countryside and forested hills are a wonderful place to relax, but Torre is the perfect central base from which to explore the world famous culture and architecture of Tuscany and Umbria. Wander the timeless streets in ancient hill top towns, seek out some of the local markets and festivals that take place all year round or visit one of the local spa towns and spoil yourself in the warm waters of a relaxing spa or a soothing 'feel good' treatment. Sample the area's fantastic cuisine and taste the local wines, ranging from some of the finest that Italy has to offer – Chianti Classico, Montepulciano, Orvieto Classico and Montefalco - to the quaffable, and more affordable, wines of lesser pedigree. Or spread your wings a little further - Florence to the north and Rome to the south are both just an hour and a half away and other great cities, towns and villages - Orvieto, Montepulciano, Assisi, Siena, Pisa, Cortona and our personal favourite, the “Dying City” of Civita - are all within easy reach of your centrally-located apartment.

A holiday paradise in Umbria

We spent two weeks in august in this wonderful apartment with our four children and we really enjoyed the time there! The apartment was clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Our kids were hard to get out of the pool. We even enjoyed the tranquility of TdM very much. However, there were no other families on site, which was a pity. TdM is located far out, you always need the car. We made great excursions in the area, Orvieto, Assisi, Siena and Bolsena are accessible. However, you have to be prepared to drive a lot. The contact with the owner was very pleasant. His information was extensive and absolutely helpful.

Super schöne Ferienwohnung in gepflegter Anlage mit sauberem Pool. Alles wie man es sich wünscht.

Wir haben eine Woche Urlaub in Ficulle hinter uns und hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit dort. Die Anlage liegt weit draußen und man muss eigentlich immer das Auto nehmen, aber das sind wir von Zuhause gewohnt. Die Appartement-Anlage hat dafür einen schönen Weitblick und ist angenehm ruhig. Einzig ein kleiner Spielplatz würde das Angebot noch etwas abrunden, aber wenn wir mal nicht unterwegs waren, haben wir die Zeit mit unseren vier Kindern, die alle mühelos mit in die Wohnung passten, am Pool verbracht. Die Wohnung selbst ist super ausgestattet und wir haben wirklich gar nichts vermisst! Selbst das Backen für den Geburtstag unseres Jüngsten war gar kein Problem, alles was man dafür so braucht, war vorhanden. Den fehlenden Hochstuhl haben wir durch einen normalen Stuhl ersetzt, auf den wir unseren Kleinen mit einem Tuch um den Bauch einfach festgebunden haben. Geht für so eine überschaubare Zeit dann auch. Ein Babybett hatten wir selbst dabei, es stand aber auch ein Reisebett irgendwo in einem Schrank. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter lief reibungslos und sie schicken viel Informationen vorab. Wer dann noch Fragen hat, bekommt sie sicher auch noch beantwortet. In der Wohnung finden sich außerdem zahlreiche Tipps und Erfahrungsberichte für Ausflüge und Restaurants. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren und können die Unterkunft unbedingt weiter empfehlen.
