"The Cairn Hotel is a lovely hotel in a great location, with friendly and helpful staff throughout my stay. Whilst my room wasn’t en-suite, my private toilet was 2 steps across the corridor - not big deal, but remember your key otherwise you're locked out of your room Dinner was excellent from a well appointed menu, I had the haggis lasagne which was very well presented, generously portioned, and served efficiently. "Everything about our stay was 5 star!! The staff, when checking in, was very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant staff were amazing. Their service was excellent. They were very friendly and outgoing. The place was immaculate. Very nicely decorated. The rooms were so beautiful!! If we were to visit again, I would definitely be booking this place again."

"The room was really spacious compared with other accommodation we have had in the UK. Breakfast was ok, dinner was pretty poor at the onsite restaurant. Staff were friendly. The location was good for our road trip around Scotland. A big negative for us was the noise from the floor above us, the floor board were so creaky we heard every step of the people upstairs, and the entry doors would bang closed…. No sleep in for us."

"The location is good. With trailheads within walking distance. They’ve tried to automate processes that either don’t work or are useless. For example the automated car registration didn’t help them notify me that my car would be blocked for a morning while heavy equipment was being moved in. Free WiFi means no useable WiFi. They did upgrade my WiFi service but should just ditch the ‘free’ version. The staff are multitasking leaving people waiting for services. Hats off to them."

"Been to this hotel before, depending and enjoyed it, this time not as much, it's looking more tired. Old for me is fine as it gives character but there were some things that don't even meet a basic standard. Food and staff in the restaurant area were pleasant, not so much the reception staff who l feel we're unhelpful, inefficient doing their job. I had to move my room, l complained about not getting an answer on the phone to make a direct booking which is what they encourage, l e mailed...
