Historical sights such as Herregaarden Hessel and many beautiful hiking trails along the coast to the shores of Louns are within easy reach, as are the many fine restaurants serving a variety of local specialties. At Hvalpsund ferry port you will find a pleasant environment with a sports field and a playground, and you can also eat something at the harbor snack bar while enjoying the view of the ferry that regularly arrives from Salling, just a few minutes away from Hvalpsund. You can also take a trip to the wild North Sea, which is always a breathtaking experience. But the cities of Viborg and Aalborg also have their charms!
