It’s 5 O’Clock Here-Waterfront Cabin w/Hot Tub! Pet Friendly, Blue Ridge Parkway

Beautiful cabin, spotlessly clean sleeps 1-5 and has a HOT TUB on the front porch, just outside the master bedroom. We are just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and our cabin is PET FRIENDLY (well-behaved dogs only!) Come stay at “It’s 5 O’Clock Here,” and enjoy the wonderful views, stocked fishing pond, fire pit with wood, free wifi/internet, the cool mountain weather, and all of the nearby activities. This cabin has all of the modern amenities. Our master bedroom features a queen-size memory foam mattress. Our loft bedroom is roomy and cozy and accessible by an interior ladder. We provide Keurig coffee maker, crockpots for easy cooking, and nice updated cookware.

The cabin includes a full kitchen with microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Our living room has a flat screen television and a stone fireplace (gas logs). Outside, enjoy our spacious front covered deck, fishing gear, Adirondack chairs, and pond view! There is a permanent outdoor charcoal grill right outside the door.

Travel to nearby Buffalo Mountain for a breathtaking Piedmont view hike, ride gravel or mountain bikes on the New River Trail (a 57-mile rail-to-trail starting in Galax, VA). Or, just sit on the covered front porch that overlooks the well-stocked pond and listen to the quiet.

The cabin is located 15 minutes away from Mt. Airy, NC (‘Mayberry’ from the Andy Griffith Show), Hillsville, VA, and 20 minutes from Galax, VA. There are numerous local restaurants, breweries, and wineries, and often live bluegrass music. Recently completed, “It’s Time to Unwine” is our second cabin. This cabin can be rented dually to accommodate larger families or groups. Contact us for details.

The cabin is less than 1/10 of a mile from Wellness Pursuits, and they offer yoga and fitness classes in a rural mountain setting.

While driving to the local wineries, stop by the local cherry, grape, apple and peach orchards, all within 15-30 minutes. Check out Mount Airy, NC, Andy Griffith's hometown Mayberry, and a great, thriving small town that is fun to visit!

This is a family-operated vacation home from the cabin detailing to the rental bookings. We are all proud of this home and want each and every guest to enjoy their stay. We do allow dogs and the area is dog friendly. We just ask for you to look after the cabin like it is yours. If any additional information is required during rentals, such as directions, supplies, etc., please call Laura or Dennis.

A perfect little get away!

We love staying in this pretty cozy cabin with a beautiful view of a lake. There are wonderful restaurants nearby and plenty of activities such as fishing, hiking or visiting nearby wineries. Hostess is very nice too, can't wait to come back!

A little upkeep would go a long way.

We loved the privacy and location. The cabin is cute but lacks in upkeep department. The washer and dryer are absolutely horrible. The washer says small loads, it won’t even wash and spin 2 towels and a wash cloth. My husband had to hold the washer down during the spin cycle it bounced all over the place. The dry took over 2 hrs to dry the same load. The bedroom door knob is hanging on by a thread. The wood walls have water stains from previous leaks. The rain shower head is loose and ready to fall off. A few burnt out bulbs but that’s no biggie. But we loved going out on the porch, eating, swinging, and sitting in the jacuzzi. Fishing was also a plus

Peaceful Retreat

From the moment we arrived everything was beautiful! The cleanliness of the cabin and the surrounding yard were perfect! Inside there was everything my husband I needed, from kitchen necessities to actual TV channels to watch !!The booking and checking in process was easy and well set up !The only downfall and it has nothing to do with the cabin is the lack of site seeing in the area, we generally have many attractions to visit and that wasn’t the case, most battlefields and waterfall attractions were a few hours away.With that being said the rest of our stay was fantastic and we highly recommend your place !!!

Perfect getawat

We had a perfect weekend at this peaceful, cozy cabin! Close to hiking and fun restaurants, yet with a calm and picturesque setting that helps stress melt away! Coffee and sunrise on the porch swing were magical! We went on a long hike with our pup and then relaxed in the hot tub before going out to dinner - Spotless and has everything that you need away from home! We will be back!!

Everything you need to unplug

The property is very easy to get to and even though we had a lot of snow this week. I didn’t have any trouble with the local roads. The cabin had everything we needed, including a hot tub and gas fireplace. It was clean, comfortable and beautiful. The host communicated as needed. I would stay here again. I think, especially in the spring and fall. It would be sublime. 10 out of 10.

Father Sons Holiday Get Together

I have two grown son's (22 and 26). I am recently divorced the men-children still live with Mom. The boys and I decided that we should get together between Thanksgiving and Christmas every year. I agreed and we decided that we would use VRBO well the name alone sold me!!! We were able to Check in an hour early, which was great! My boys were driving up from Concord, NC (1hr 30mins for them) and I was driving up form Wallace, NC (3hrs 45mins for me) and we met in Mt Airy, NC (about 20-25 mins from the "It's Five O'Clock Here") in Fancy Gap, VA.Mt. Airy, NC, We ended up walking for a while on the "Riverside Park Greenway", with Alfred my Bulldog.We had Lunch at Barney's Cafe, it was home cooked burgers, fries - really good.Did the Andy Griffith Museum (I enjoyed, sons, not so much). I found it very interesting!Pit Stop Pizza and Grill (Fancy Gap, VA) had dinner here, and the boys were stunned that I was taking them to a Gas Stating Italian Dinner! Well, it WAS great and they were surprised.The Copper Pot we had breakfast here (it was a home cooked southern breakfast)We then went our separat ways home.We are considering returning next year, same time!Overall, we give "It's Five O'Clock Here" a Solid 9.5/10!

Highly recommend this cabin! Very clean, comfortable and cozy for a stay in the mountains. Near so many hiking trails & vineyards - we had a great time! Host was friendly & quick to reply. Had no issues at all and will definitely be back!

Perfect anniversary trip!

The cabin was the perfect weekend getaway for our anniversary. It was clean and well stocked, the host was very nice and easy to contact, check in was smooth..nothing to complain about at all! The cabin and neighborhood were exactly what we expected. We will definitely stay here again.
