Ok so there was a bit of a rocky start to our stay...the room I booked online said it was a double room w 2 queen size beds...when we checked in, we were told it was only 1 bed. She was firm at first, but not rude...she had me show her an email w the booking and send it to an email & then we were given a room w 2 queen beds. I was so disappointed to discover the spa was not working...it looked fine but wouldn't heat up & jets weren't working...they said it was under maintenance. I know I sounded a bit whiney on the phone but the room already looked different (smaller, less upgraded) than the pictures online of the room I selected... but she was so nice, she didnt have an attitude & she kindly moved us to an upstairs room w a bathtub and a balcony. It was just that I chose to pay a little more for a nice stay w my son when there were other hotels in the area, w cheaper rates that also had pools/spas so I was bummed to pay a bit more only to find out the spa didn't work. But customer service and kindness goes a long way w me...she didnt have to give me another room, but she did and the other employees were very polite & friendly as well. The design of the hotel is very cute & although it has easy acceas to the highway, it also feels somewhat secluded, up against a large hill, w a nice neighborhood to walk in. All they would need is a little maintence on the spa & offer a little more at breakfast (it was always oranges, frosted flakes, waffles & coffee but nothing else)
