Villa Panselinos—Private Pool & Idyllic Olive Grove on the South Coast of Crete

Welcome to Villa Panselinos—a small retreat for anyone who wants to do more than just visit Crete; who wants to truly experience it.

Nestled in the midst of a private olive grove spanning approximately 2,100 m², our villa is set amid the unspoiled landscape of Crete’s southern coast. Here, the day begins with the light streaming over the mountains, the rustling of the olive trees, and a sweeping view of the majestic Ida Mountains, including Psiloritis—at approximately 2,500 meters, the highest peak in Crete. It’s a place where time seems to pass a little more slowly.

Villa Panselinos consists of two modern buildings that open harmoniously onto the spacious terrace and private pool. The sleeping quarters feature two comfortable bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom—ideal for two couples, friends, or a family with children. The main house features a bright, open-concept living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and an additional guest restroom. A dishwasher and washing machine are available, as well as a spacious refrigerator with an ice maker and chilled drinking water.

But the true heart of the villa lies outdoors.
Life under the open sky unfolds on the spacious terrace, which measures approximately 100 m². The private pool, measuring 3 × 5 meters with a consistent depth of about 1.50 meters, invites you to cool off on warm Cretan days. Enjoy your first cup of coffee in the morning under a blue sky, spend relaxing hours by the pool, or let the evening wind down with a glass of wine on the terrace. All around you are ancient olive trees, Mediterranean plants, the mountains, and this wonderful tranquility. No hotel complex, no hustle and bustle—just your own little corner of Crete.

And when the sea calls, it’s not far away: the beaches of Kommos and Kalamaki are just a few kilometers away. The charming mountain village of Kamilari, with its small taverns and laid-back atmosphere, is also nearby. From here, you can wonderfully explore the unspoiled south of Crete—and after an outing, Villa Panselinos awaits you once again as your very own personal retreat.

We’ve designed the villa with a lot of love and the desire to create a place where you can feel welcome and at home from the very first moment. It’s important to us that you enjoy your time here, find peace, and perhaps fall in love with Crete just a little bit as much as we have.
