PEAK fall Aspen leaves changing season is coming up! in Park County, mid September to mid October so don't miss it! is sooo beautiful and the property has its own grove :) This secluded, beautifully decorated, full round log cabin, with hot tub on deck, is set among the trees in the amazing Mosquito Range in the heart of South Park Colorado, private forested acreage bordering national forest with aspen groves, pines and spruce! Secluded, yet easy access and only minutes to charming mountain towns and Colorado vacation resorts such as Breckenridge. Wonderful every season - Winter Wonderland, Spring Awakening, Summer Wildflowers, Autumn Aspen Colors - the sunshine and night, super starry, skies in Colorado Mountains at this altitude is a must have experience all year round. Great property. Cozy, clean interior. Hot tub is an awesome addition after a day of hiking. Beautiful trails just minutes from the cabin. Nice deck to drink coffee on in the morning and a little stargazing at night. Zero light pollution makes the night sky amazing. 2 moose hanging out on the property on the first day. There is a small trail that is perfect for walking the dog in the morning and evening. Follow it out to an old placer mine which was fun to check out. The cabin sits in a grove of aspen which were getting ready to turn. Must be amazing in mid September. My wife is an avid fly fisher and was thrilled by the numerous streams, lakes and beaver ponds to fish very close to the cabin. Check out Otto’s Cartyard in Alma for a delicious lunch. We are already planning to head back in 26.

What an incredible stay, the log cabin, the seclusion, the ‘home’ feel…. Then came that jacuzzi. Even with rain on and off, we still managed some time in the hottub under the stars & saw an incredible shooting star. We WILL return

Nice Secluded Cabin

We enjoyed being able to walk off the property into National Forest and that it was secluded (good for the dog, who has a hard time around strangers). We saw a good amount of wildlife, large and small. Great place to stay if your goal is to get away from home and find some peace and quiet. Not particularly close to major tourist attractions, but convenient if you wanted to climb some of the 14ers between Breckenridge and Fairplay.

Rustic cabin

The mountain log cabin would probably be a five-star for a younger set. Not being tech-savvy, we did not get the message while traveling not to park in the driveway. Also, we could not navigate the 4 remotes to operate the TV and missed watching the NBA playoffs. Also, the owner did not respond to 2 calls or to our 2 texts to the numbers provided. We later learned that their preferred messaging was through the VRBO app.The cabin, though, was quite 'homey' and very rustic.They should fix the storm door ASAP. A hinge is broken.

Cabin is cute. Bathrooms were clean. Beds were very uncomfortable so we didnt even stay the second night we booked. Also needed to wash pots and pans before we could cook anything Hot tub under the stars was nice. I was expecting more of a view but this cabin is tucked away in the trees which was nice for privacy. We did have a juvenile moose vist early Saturday morning which was a treat

Beautiful and very private location with a great hot tub close to Fairplay. The cabin is very well stocked and comfortable. I really enjoyed running on the Sacramento Creek Ranch trail network. It has about 3 miles of wooded and/or creekside trails ideal for running or hiking. I used the convenient back entrance at a gate (with a road closed sign) on the south side of Sacramento Creek Road about 1/3 of a mile west of the cabin. The first Sacrament Creek Ranch trail sign is about 1/3 of a mile from the gate.

Not so great

After arriving we shortly notice that there's only one TV in the property in the front room and the devices that it was connected to did not work and then 3 hours before checkout water and electricity went out so it made a very difficult packing up and leaving without any electricity or water not being able to bathe before leaving and having to work around not having electricity not being able to charge cell phones there is not a barbecue grill. The jacuzzi was very nice and so was the home without the problems that we had would have made it a perfect mother's Day getaway but without those things it definitely through a wrench in our plans. Management told us that they would send somebody to fix it stating than messaged it would just need to be replaced but that didn't happen while we were there. It was great that we were able to 4:20 during our stay within the cabin that was probably the best amenity. The beds are comfortable and the upstairs bedroom is decked out in orange and blue so that was really cool. So we had a few hiccups in our stay but overall it was a great mother's Day weekend but I have to say the last day leaving definitely throw a wrench in our vacation.

Excellent getaway

Perfect mountain home for a simple getaway. Added bonus that pets were allowed. Property is quiet and the hot tub was a great addition after days of hiking. Closing to town and well stocked. The home had a very welcoming feeling, would definitely rent again.

Cozy rustic cabin in the woods

We loved the cabin! We had some lovely movie nights in front of the fire and enjoyed the hot tub, which was lovely and super clean. It's in a good area and is nice and secluded. I am giving this 4/5 stars because the cabin could use some repairs. Overall, it didn't impact our stay too much and we enjoyed how rustic it felt.

Peaceful

Beautiful area and cabin! The hot tub had way too much bromide in it which put a damper on our enjoyment of the hot tub. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet! We even got to see a moose right outside the window!

Just what you expect from a cabin in the mountains

It was nice to have a quiet stay after traveling across the country. This cabin sits above 10,000 ft. There are no neighbors close by. Privacy was nice when using the hot tub. There is a nice selection of DVDs to watch. We could not get the direct TV to work. If you want to relax this is a nice place to do it.

Cabin and ski getaway

Short trip from Denver, gets you right into the mountains near skiing. Hot tub was a nice option after skiing, and unwinding with a fire and a book was perfect.

Sweet and quaint getaway

We had a very nice time at the property - it felt like staying at "the family cabin." It was quite secluded, clean and cute. We had a family thing come up at the last minute that threatened to keep us from coming, and the property manager was quick and generous. It all worked out in the end. We'll keep this one in mind for another trip!

Cabin in the woods with style

We had a great time sitting by the fire or sitting in the hot tub under the stars. Still felt like a cabin with all the quirks we love about that. It was better than we expected! Hosts were great and clearly still use the property too. All that VRBO was supposed to be and more.
