"Upon arrival we were met with loud music what seemed like a soul weekender. There was forewarning regarding this and our room was not ready. We had a child of 8 with us so it was a bit unfair on him.
The bathroom had no fascia on the shower temp control and there was mould on the ceiling. The tissue box had no tissues in during our two night stay. The mini fridge was not stocked upon arrival .
When I asked if I could see the room before I was paid I was told they needed a managers consent which...

"Disappointed that the room AC wasn't working and its 28° degrees. We were given just one fan to share between 3 people.
6am we had maintenance man banging on doors for good 15 mins and woke us up,so wasn't a great experience."

"It was a clean pleasant hotel in an excellent location.
I was disappointed that I didn’t have a window to look out of.
It made the room dull.
I also would have preferred a double bed rather than 2 singles pushed together.
The restaurant was very good ."

"The Genting was always a favourite stopover when traveling through England as it breaks up the trip from London to Yorkshire. The hotel is still quite nice compared to others in the area but doesn’t seem to have been maintained to the high standards it once was.
The spa experience was still great, however the outdoor spa was not working and I had to share the pool experience with the cleaning crew at 7am.
The building that it shares has some challenges with managing the smell from the bins and...
