My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829! "

"What a beautiful place to stay on St. John, a great location with outstanding views. The restaurant was wonderful, we had two outstanding dinners and enjoyed after dinner drinks at the bar each evening. Staff was outstanding, friendly and helpful! We are planning to return in 2027!"

"The bathroom wasn’t very clean, it’s like they wipe down surfaces and leave the rest. There was soap scum and mold along the tub. Staff were not very friendly and the pictures show a nice hotel than what is there. It’s fine to stay for 1 or 2 nights but would not be my first choice."

"Breakfast, although provided wasn't really much to write home about - bread, jam, butter, oats and apples. Really didn't mind this but I'd rather know that there is no breakfast at all. What we found really poor however was the fact that the room/bathroom were in such an unclean state"
