"Such a beautiful view with a very island feel to the property. Host was very much able to be contacted if needed, property was very neat, clean and organized. The host left ample notes behind on things to do around the island as well. Highly recommend staying with this host on his property!"

"We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. You do need an SUV to travel up there. Thanks for the stay!"

"Very out of the way remote stay, extremely small accommodations, the bed is a converted couch, although clean, air conditioning keeps the room a little cool, the road in is not for the faint hearted, not easy to say the least, property is very old, bathroom light is a pull chain, property says breakfast included, that means you get cereal and milk in your refrigerator, not a sit down meal like all other places! "stayed 11 days Feb '26. This is a condo complex. Upon arrival the complex appears dated/tired and the grass was tall. A crew did show to get the landscaping back into shape. Located off a main road and centrally located. Can get to most parts of the island within a 35 minute drive. 5 minutes down the street is a grocery store, another 5 minutes to popular La Reine Chicken Shack. "A perfect property to stay out of the way with a great view. The breeze kept the apartment comfortable the whole week, without needing fans or AC. It seems like miles away from everything, but it was only a 10 to 20 minute ride to anywhere we wanted to go. Cane bay beach was a perfect, close getaway.
