Within ten minutes of the bustling, medieval town of Ennis, Casa Ceol is a quaint, semi-detached property. Idyllically nestled at the entrance to the Burren and close to the Wild Atlantic way, it is a gateway to the best West Clare has to offer. Casa Ceol’s family friendly farm-like setting is an opportunity to experience a relaxed break at an easy distance from town and attractions.

Casa Ceol is a 2-story property with 3 bedrooms and will comfortably sleep 6. Homely cottage feel with modern comfort, its an airy, open-plan design and brightly furnished rooms are the perfect complement to its tranquil setting. Make the most of creature comforts like a reading nook, a private outdoor terrace, underfloor heating, and two bathrooms - one with a shower, the second with a bath.

• 3 bedrooms (2 double rooms with king-size beds, 1 twin room)
• 2 bathrooms (1 with shower, 1 small bath)
• Fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, cooker, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer)
• Washing machine and dryer
• Living room with wood/turf burning stove
• Bed linen and towels are included

Casa Ceol’s farm-like setting means guests can enjoy on-site and family-friendly activities such as feeding friendly animals, learning about plants in the garden and polytunnel. Music buffs will appreciate the owner’s traditional Irish music background and are welcomed to a chat about the best places in Clare to find a good session.

We are happy to help you find the hidden gems of County Clare and the experiences you never knew were available. Feel free to participate, on your own or with your children, in our regular farming and gardening chores, which are often carried out by our own children. This can vary from feeding animals to harvesting vegetables for dinner.

Guests will receive linen and towels as standard as well as a complimentary basket of firewood/turf to burn in the solid wood stove. Extra services include babysitting and home-cooked dinners. Free Wifi is also available in the property.

If you need it, we will help you arrange transport to and from town and/or Shannon Airport.

A quiet retreat

A peaceful quiet spot to relax and enjoy the country. Enjoyed the farm tour and meeting the animals. Our host Barbara was great. Close to local sights and easy to get to. Overall a very nice place to stay

Wonder stay

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. We have been to Ireland several times and would definitely recommend staying here. Brenda gave us a tour of the farm and told us about the area and recommended locations we had never been to before. We don’t mind driving places so this location worked very well for us. We looked forward everyday to the farm dogs and cats coming to say hi every morning and evening. Kids would really enjoy this location I’m sure.

Beautiful Home

We had a very comfortable stay. The remoteness was good for us as we love walking. We would have liked the TV working but due to storm no TV or movies. Loved the cats and dogs. Overall cosy, welcoming, clean, rural and great for our family reunion. Thank you to Barbara and family.

We didn't want to leave!

We had an unbelievable time staying at Casa Ceoil in Ruan near Ennis, County Clare. This property is absolutely beautiful, especially if you love animals. Everything was incredibly clean with all that you can ask for- a great sitting area, washer/dryer, big kitchen table and comfortable bedrooms. Barbara was so kind and we loved touring the farm. One thing we all loved was the clean water with amazing water pressure! We were really sad to go as my adult children had made friends with the cats, dogs, goats and horses. They're talking about going back already. This property is also close to everything but rural enough for quiet walks to a castle. I would give this 10 stars if I could. Thank you Barbara!

Our family had an amazing visit at Casa Ceoil! The property was full of life (dogs, horses, goats,cats, and chickens). The house was centrally located within the county so we were able to take day trips. After our adventures we would be greeted by Luna (the sweetest dog)! One of the mares had just given birth a week ago so we had the opportunity to visit with their new foal. The house was appointed well there was no need for anything it was well stocked with towels, dishes, ect. The house was clean and very comfortable! Barbara was wonderful she provided a lot of information about the sounding sites and places to eat in Ennis. We highly recommend Henry’s Wine Bar in Ennis, the food was fabulous. If you are looking for Irish music Knox’s Bar and grill is a great place in Ennis, however the food was typical bar food nothing special. Go there for music and the drinks! Overall we had an amazing holiday in Ireland! You can’t go wrong if you decide to rent Casa Ceoil it was a highlight of our trip!

It’s lovely

We had a wonderful stay here. The house is beautiful Barbara was so lovely and took our granddaughter round to see all the animals. After a day of sightseeing this was a lovely quiet setting to come back to.

This home was all that I could have asked for. The setting, the host, and the location were all perfect. Barbara was so very warm and welcoming. The house itself had everything needed for a perfect stay. Warm, clean, and inviting. The animals of the farm were a huge bonus especially the dogs. I would recommend this home to everyone planning an Irish vacation.

Perfect country cottage

Barbara was a wonderful host. We enjoyed her tour of her family farm and the cottage was a perfect location for exploring nearby attractions (cliffs of moher, the burren, castles, Aran Islands, Galway, Limerick to name a few). The cottage was quiet, roomy and comfortable, and had everything we needed during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Taste of farm life but close to town

Barbara was great and enjoyed playing with dogs and cat. Only suggestion would be blinds or curtains in living area since guest house is attached to Barbara's house as an L addition with windows facing main house.

This is a fantastic home away from home. Less than 10 minutes from Ennis and with good highway access to attractions like the cliffs of Moher and the loop. We loved the flexibility of our own kitchen, washer and dryer and blessed peace and quiet. Barbara our host was very helpful and wonderful. It is great farm stay with 3 bedrooms and excellent wifi and TV.

Better than we could have imagined!

Hosts were welcoming, very helpful, and friendly. The first thing we all noticed was how comfortable we all felt being at Casa Ceol. After a long trip to a country we had never visited that was so important. It was the perfect home base to visit the many interesting landmarks, Castles, parks etc in Clare and surrounding counties. Can’t wait to return some day.

Loved my stay at Casa Ceoil!

Loved my stay at Casa Ceoil! The host was friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful with the house and with suggestions for sightseeing in the area. The house is clean, well-appointed and comfortable with plenty of room inside and out for my 4 additional guests. Included are amenities like strong Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchen, linens, laundry soap, etc. that added to the comfort of my stay. I felt right at home in the countryside and even experienced a foal being born. Casa Ceoil is ideally situated on a farm, and only 15 minutes from the picturesque town of Ennis with plenty of traditional Irish music and close to historic sites like the Cliffs of Moore, Ennis Abbey and Craggaunowen and only 20 minutes from Shannon Airport. I would recommend Casa Ceoil to adults and families with children. You will have an amazing stay.

Spacious, quiet

We had a great stay here. Plenty of room for the four of us, very clean. The nights were incredibly peaceful and quiet. We all enjoyed the animals nearby, cows, dogs, cats, and a beautiful horse. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Incredible, cozy, quiet, country get-a-way!

We stayed three nights at this property and they were the favorite of our trip. We were delayed in arriving and the owner was accommodating and had left a welcome gift. There were four of us and we had plenty of room. The property is quaint and feels country but has all of the amenities that you'd want, including a top-notch shower and a loft-style office. The location was convenient for accessing locations that we wanted to see, was far enough away to feel isolated, and was cozy enough for us to want to stay all day! We loved the farm animals, the garden, but especially the owners! Kind, welcoming, made great recommendations, etc. It was worth every penny and we have he best memories!

Lovely & peaceful place to enjoy

Barbara & Kevin's home is lovely, bright and welcoming! We had everything we needed, and Barbara even had bread, scones & butter awaiting our arrival. We enjoyed Barbara's tour of her farm (young sheep, goats, cows & horses). Luna & Bella (the dogs) were so friendly and fun to play with. I loved the cats too! We would absolutely stay here again. It's a quick drive into Ennis for any kind of shopping you would need/want. Thank you, Barbara, for a lovely stay & your warm welcome!

Cosy casa with all you need

Many thanks to Barbara and all the family for a fantastic stay. We felt very cosy and welcome. We appreciated the cleanliness, attractive decor and the extra touches, like the welcome pack and baby cot. Our son loved feeding the animals, collecting eggs and picking cucumbers. The location is great. You feel you are in the county side but are only 15 minutes from all major supermarkets, 30 minutes from the beach and very close to the Burren. We’d love to come back!

A quiet Irish farmhouse.

This quiet farmhouse is situated on a small working farm which only adds to its charm and fun. There a very friendly dog and two goats that regularly roam the property. Barbara is a wonderful host. Friendly and informative. She even offered us tour of the farm which we gladly accepted. The house is very clean with some modern appointments but still retains a rustic feel. The nearby town of Ennis is lively and practical. Overall a comfortable and relaxing experience. Please be aware that a rental car is a must have if plan to stay here.

Maison et hôte charmante.

La location est très bien équipée, propre et la literie est confortable. La propriétaire (barbara) est très agréable, souriante et discrète. La maison est isolée en pleine campagne entourée d'animaux de la ferme, vaches, brebis, etc... et 2 chats très caressants . Pour les visites des sites irlandais la voiture est indispensable. Le séjour était très agréable et le paysage irlandais magnifique. Il manque juste un salon de jardin pour profiter de l'extérieur par jour de beau temps.
