"This was perfect for a family holiday. The house is clean, spacious and very well equipped for those who want to cook and eat in-house. The garden is lovely, with lots of space and with different areas to sit out. The gite is about a 10 minute walk from Carentan, or a few minutes in the car. Carentan is about 60 minutes easy driving from Caen. Our host, Mme Haubois, was very welcoming and gave us some good ideas on where to eat and visit, and sorted out a minor issue with the washing machine...

"We had a very comfortable stay. Georges was quick to respond to our questions. Language barrier was eased with the help of a handheld translator. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the downstairs lounge area. Kitchen well equipped, although we were unable to get the coffee maker to work, but we were able to make coffee using provided French press. All bedrooms are upstairs, as is one full bathroom. The downstairs bathroom has a shower and toilet, but red lighting is not ideal for putting on...

Von hier aus haben wir alle interessanten Lokations rund um den D-Day sehr gut erreicht. "We had such wonderful stay here- there where 5of us and everyone had something that suited them. On arrival the host was extremely pleasant and whilst there was a language barrier we all managed to understand each other and she has leaflets to help. "Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub. Die Unterkunft war, wie im Internet beschrieben, es hat nichts gefehlt. Die Aussicht auf das Meer und den Hafen haben wir sehr genossen. Bathroom is also modern and clean. The two bedrooms offer good separation, and roomy closets and other storage. We had been traveling before we arrived, and we especially appreciated the washer/dryer. Geraldine was in touch with us before we arrived, and was there to greet us.
