The E'Town Riverside Lodge is a newly remodeled space in beautiful, quaint Elizabethtown nestled on the Ohio River. Once a laundromat, the history is in the details, built in 1928 it now has been turned into a beautiful lodge. Stay and relax by the river or explore nearby attractions and sightseeing- From Garden of the Gods, hiking the Shawnee National Forest to Cave-in-Rock, located right on the Ohio Scenic Byway. The Riverside Lodge is a hop, skip and jump to all things Southern Illinois.

Easy to find. Nestled into a little town history. Like meat? Buy some from the store next door, its local!If staying in winter, bring slippers. The concrete floors are chilly. Easy set up, full kitchen, clean. The home fragrance is overpowering for my preference, you may love it. Now all my belongings smell like a laundry mat, how fitting.Ideal spot to explore the area and hike.Fish on the river or watch the ships go by.

Everything went smoothly. Place was great. Charming. Clean! Great bed, couch, TV and appliances! Bathroom small but great shower. Not much bathroom privacy so might work on sealing door better. Town is cute but not much happening. Restaurant closed a day before we arrived even though website said would be open. So we drove quite a bit but that was fun, too! Great hiking, went to Peducah for a few hours when it rained. Didn’t get to kayak but maybe next time!

Husband and I stayed here while exploring southeastern Illinois. It was the perfect location for visits to Garden of the Gods and Cave-in-Rock. Everything was comfortable. Nice to have the E-Town restaurant and E-Town Tap so close. The only suggestion I have is to install a floor length mirror somewhere for fit check. 10/10 would definitely stay here again!

This is the cutest little place! The owner was great and their store next door had local grown meat from their farm. It was delicious. It’s very close to the river, so nice views down the street. We loved that the owner refurbished this place from the old laundry mat. Very well appointed.

Wonderful Stay in a Charming Small Town!

We had a fantastic stay at this cozy house! The accommodations were excellent—clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed to cook meals during our trip. One of our favorite things was the ice cream and coffee shop right on the corner—such a nice treat to have just steps away!The location was perfect for my job assignment, making the daily commute easy and stress-free. Another huge plus was that we could bring our two dogs along—finding pet-friendly places like this is such a relief. They loved it as much as we did!Would definitely stay here again if we're ever back in the area!

Beautiful building that is wonderfully decorated. Host was amazing with incredible communication. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back. Just make sure you screenshot all of your info for check in since cell phone coverage is spotty in Elizabethtown.

Great place to stay and experience a quaint, IL town

We enjoyed this tiny house during our stay. It’s clean, dog-friendly with a fenced patio and within a 20-30 minute drive to the surrounding popular hiking and nature sight-seeing spots. The town itself is very small and you’ll need to drive a little ways for restaurants and groceries. The mercantile shop directly next door is very cute and a great spot to get coffee, Ice cream and local goods. Would recommend for a family of four (like us) or smaller.

Great spot for hiking Garden of the Gods, Rim Rock, Cave in Rock etc... Nice and quiet location for sleeping between hikes!

A hiden gem

The "tiny home" is not so tiny, very well restored, well furnished and so quiet. Excellent communication with the host, extremely responsive and friendly.. The area has a lot to offer. We certainly will come back.

Great place to explore Shawnee Forest

We needed a place to stay near Shawnee National Forest. We were more than pleasantly surprised with this tiny home. We only bookes one night, but wished we had stayed longer to enjoy the house and neighborhood. The house had all the necessities to make breakfast and we slept comfortably. We would definitely stay here again, only next time, we'll stay longer. The neighborhood had a corner restaurant, bar, and ice cream parlor we would have loved to check out. paelor The house had

Cute house on the Ohio River

We visited Gardens of the Gods and Cave in the Rock, both places we loved. The rental property was near both parks. The house was just what we wanted. It had everything we needed. There were limited restaurants but we enjoyed cooking at home and then sit by the fire pit afterwards. Would rent this place again if we find ourselves in that area.

Welcoming little town

This little house has everything one would need. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The fried catfish on the river was excellent but is closed the first part of the week. We cooked meat purchased from the little store next door one night and it was delicious. Very high quality. We were hiking some of the paths in Shawnee and enjoyed our stay. We can’t wait to come back.
