"This cabin was a beautiful as pictured..and soooo quiet. Swam a bit and kayaked a lot. The kitchen actually had storage for the food we brought! Beds were cozy, we slept well. And the shower had great water pressure…so unexpected…Thankyou so much for having us."

"Lieu calme, reposant, parfait pour se relaxer et profiter du bon air de la forêt, sur fond du ruissellement de la rivière. Chalet fonctionnel et spacieux, parfait pour visiter le parc Kejimkujik à 7 Km de là."

"My husband and I stayed at this lakeside retreat in early May. Our son in law's family have a cottage down the road. While we spent most of our day in the other cottage, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Lakeside retreat. It is very well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed working on a few puzzles and listening to music on the Google Home Sound system. We hope to come again one day with our granddaughters and swim in the Medway river and Ponhook lake."

"This was a great spot to spend a couple of days exploring the Annapolis Valley and surrounding area. Tons of space for 2 people and such a lovely combination of living space, kitchen, bedroom, etc. The light provisions (coffee, tea and breakfast items) were very generous and a great way to start the day.The bedroom can be very bright with the morning sun, which might impact light sleepers. All in all, a great spot that we would definitely come back to. Thanks for having us!"

"Cozy, comfortable stay. Cottage was spotless and felt like home. Christine was friendly, welcoming and helped to solve a booking problem. Will definitely return when visiting family in the area. "

"This cabin met our needs for a private little spot for the night. It was fully furnished with anything/ everything you need. I was a bit let down that the cabin was part of a compound where there were other cabins that didn’t belong to the host and the area didn’t look like the photos online.. it was super quiet and a bit rustic but if you’re not looking for a five star motel, then it is a fun place to stay. "Rustic but well appointed old farmhouse on a beautiful property, large enough to explore and even hike to the basin. Everything that you need is provided - literally. The host has all information needed to tour the area at your fingertips, comfortable rooms - with the picture window overlooking the river a favourite. Hard to pry away from that view. "We had a great stay from August 20-27. We chose this spot as it was close to family in the area and we wanted to be able to base ourselves close to them while also being within an hour or so of a lot of Halifax, Peggy's Cove, etc. The cottage was a great size, with lots of space for our family to relax and spread out. The kitchen was very well-appointed. The outdoor space was just wonderful - we enjoyed a campfire almost every night, and during the day the kids spent hours in the paddleboat...

"The property is netled in the trees by a beautiful lake. You can enjoy your morning coffee steps from the water and watch the deer graze on the lawn in the evening. Cathy is very easy to communicate with. The home is cozy and well equipped. A lovely place to relax. "

"Our family of 6 stayed here for a week. We used the house as both a place to relax and as a jumping off point to do other activities in Nova Scotia. We loved it here. We enjoyed numerous outings on Ponhook Lake in the canoes, kayaks and stand up paddleboard provided by the owner. The house is beautiful, clean and very well kept up.
