"I stayed Monday to Friday as I was working in Whitehaven. Kitchen had everything I needed, bed was comfy, nice reclining sofasvand good wifi. House was well located, took a stroll to the castle in the evening and the co-op supermarket v. close, quite big and with a good selection."

"Lovely stay despite the weather. Our second stay here and it's always good to know you have the pool as a back up plan to entertain the children if the weather is poor. Great walks from the front door. Comfy beds. Idyllic location."

"Excellent location, well equipped, cosy cottage. With 5 adults and one teenager there was still plenty of room. Cottage was clean and welcoming. We got a bit mixed up with Compston Street and Road. Not because of directions but because we thought we knew best! Parking was a bit challenging so would recommend finding your spot and using the bus. "

"We had a very enjoyable 4 nights at Lind End Cottage. We were warmly greeted by Janet, who was very friendly. The cottage was clean and very well laid out with a wonderful view from the dining room.The bed was comfortable and a good shower plenty of hot water and at a decent pressure.On leaving Janet called in to see if were happy with everything and to chat about our bike rides and walking trips. Thank you again Janet for a lovely stay."

"We hired the bunkhouse for two nights of birthday celebrations and walking. Great location with stunning walks right outside the door. Wainwright’s Inn is a few steps away, as is the co-op with its little cafe upstairs. I hope to make our stay an annual event. Highly recommended!"

"Had a great long weekend at the property. Had loads of stuff there to use the kitchen to its full potential. Was lovely and warm and everyone had plenty of space in the accommodation. We were able to celebrate Christmas with my mum who is going to Guatemala next month and won’t be there. A few tiny tweaks will make this a perfect let but already great as it is."

"Very nice place, we felt like at home here. Everything was clean. The apartment has everything you need, you can cook, you can relax. The town is beautiful. Shops literally across the street. Cheap parking right next to the apartment. The owners are very helpful and answer all questions very quickly. I would definitely go back to this place and I highly recommend it. "Fantastic home on the lake with gorgeous grounds and views. Plenty of rooms to spread out and have privacy yet also large family rooms for gathering together for meals and games. Hosts were excellent and very responsive with tips for local restaurants. Overall a magnificent property and we hope to return! "
