"The property is situated in a beautiful location handy for Bakewell and Buxton. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy although the pillows were not great. There was lots of storage for our things. The bathroom was also a good size but I was disappointed to find a couple of long black hairs on the floor! The staff were pleasant and efficient. The breakfast was plentiful and we also are there in the evening whi h was tasty and good value for money. There is plenty of parking space."

"The room was beautiful. We had been to a wedding so they allowed late arrival back. The only feedback is they the room was stifling hot to enter. There wasn’t air conditioning but there was a fan they I was happy with. The pillows were so comfy and it was a luxurious stay. Would return. Breakfast was also delicious. "

"We stayed 2 nights in a 2nd floor room over looking the courtyard. The staff were all very welcoming & friendly. The breakfast had a good variety, nice and hot & cooked well which is not always the case for buffet style breakfasts. The location is good for the Peak District. Plenty of parking & although due to weather we were not able to enjoy it, the outside area was very pretty. The bathroom could benefit from a little work. Overall Good Location, welcome staff, excellent breakfast."

"the room number 12 was located next to a busy road and garage the room was Hot with no air con , had a small fan but with the windows open found it difficult to sleep. the other window overlooked the back of the hotel with the refuse lorry arriving just after 6am. the overall score is reflected in the lack of sleep through noise. "Nice location for a quite evening. On arrival the member of staff was welcoming and showed us to our room. I was a little disappointed as i had called the day before to ask for an upgraded room (willing to pay) was told it was sorted but ended up with standard room.
