  • Its a rustic log cabin, totally handcrafted. Just below is the Chowan River and at the mouth of the Albermarle Sound. It is full of White Perch and you can go crabbing. Fire pit outside for roasting marshmallows.Its has a walk way off the back porch that will take you all the way to the river. It is very good for exercising.Firewood is provided for the fire pit.There is also a fire pit with some wood on the beach by the pier. There is a golf cart for those who choose to ride to river instead of walking. The property is located 12 miles from Edenton off of highway 45 on the Chowan River.

Property presents as posted; it was exactly what we were expecting. Gorgeous view is a short walk over the hill. The neighbors and dogs were all very welcoming and friendly. Playing fetch with Axle was an unexpected highlight of the trip! We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space and look forward to experiencing it during another season.

Weekend get away.

Wonderful get away, very quiet and relaxing. We really enjoyed spending a day in Edenton. People were so friendly, and we learned a lot about the local history.

Beautiful Place to Stay

Highly recommend, very Beautiful Cabin. Decorations in the cabin were so pretty. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Will definitely be staying again.

Lovely log cabin...just right. It sleeps 6 but was perfect for the 2 of us. Nicely decorated and attention to detail. Will visit again when we can take advantage of all the extras. We visited in January...perfect to relax away from work.

Private setting

We checked in quietly and enjoyed a beautifully built log cabin. Everything was set up great with an amazing bathroom, and awesome decorations. We had a very private and quiet time to relax and enjoy each other.

Wonderfully built cabin

My family and I were in search of a property that would allow us privacy and the feeling of a cabin in the woods. We were delighted with the build quality of the cabin and the responsiveness of the property managers. The explanations and details given in the listing matched our expectations when we arrived. We visited the town of Edenton exploring a rich history of early America.

A Great Hide-Away

This was an absolutely beautiful little cabin! It felt more like we should be in the mountains than close to the coast, but that was part of the charm. The pictures do not lie, but they do not show what a gem this place is.

Nice getaway

Spent a weekend at the cabin for a last minute get out of town trip. Cabin was very clean, comfortable beds, and kitchen had all we needed for a short stay. Nice quiet location, short walk or golf cart ride to the river. Kids really enjoyed poking around the wooded areas and the water.

Perfect getaway for 2.

Perfect getaway for a couple. I think it’s perfect for 4 people but any more it would be tight. Loved having the golf cart to get down to the water to sit on the dock.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were escaping Hurricane Debbie and even with spouts of rain we still had fun fishing, riding the golf cart, exploring the area and making friends with the neighbo dogs. The cabin was so cute and had all the perfect touches. Thanks so much.

Just what we needed!

We had a very relaxing weekend, exactly what we needed! The property was so nice from the BEAUTIFULLY decorated cabin to the groomed yard(s) and all the amenities to enjoy indoor and outdoor. We enjoyed the sunsets and sunrises immensely! Doug and Kim were so hospitable!

Came with my family to get away from the city. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Folks are so friendly and helpful. We are definitely going to return. Very neat and clean and fun! The kids had a great time. It was a wonderful weekend getaway!

Relaxing getaway, great river view

The cabin was just as pictured. We loved relaxing on the screened in porch each evening. The pier is a short walk away and we were also able to sit at the big house that overlooks the river. Historic Edenton is a short drive away. This is a great place to enjoy a quiet weekend away. We would definitely come back again.

Very nice place

The cabin and the decorations are stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return. We got to meet Doug which was nice as he gave us very interesting details of the history of the cabin. Other than food you have everything you need. Thank you for allowing us to have a quiet weekend getaway.
