Guest House on Picturesque Farm near Shady Maple Smorgasbord

The Old Summer House has a private entrance, which opens into a living space that includes a daybed with a pop up trundle, and a full kitchen on the first floor. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, and coffee maker. The upstairs room has a queen bed and a futon, as well as a full bathroom. Linens and towels are provided. Guests with limited mobility may request the use of a first floor powder room. The farm has a wedding venue on site, so there may be wedding activity occurring during your stay. Your housing and parking is private from the wedding venue, though please note that the outdoor space is shared with the wedding business.

Sleeping 6 in this house is really stretching the reality If you have 6 adults sleeping there they MUST be very small adults.

Super cute and quaint!!

It was a beautiful farm to stay on! Loved it! You can see Shady Maple across the farm land, which is only the greatest place to eat and shop! The beds!! The lay out!! Beds were super comfy, plenty of room for our family…even with one bathroom. Perfect place to stay and close to everything!!

Very comfortable and easy stay

It's located on a beautiful farm. The unit itself is all inclusive and clean. I appreciate having the multiple beds and a handheld shower. The host is friendly and accommodating. Very happy with our stay!

A Little Bit of Heaven, A Whole Lot from Our Lord God

We had a heavenly time with our Bible Study at this tidy, exceedingly kept little piece of Heaven. Our hosts cared about us as people, not just "monetary income". They, as we do love the Lord, and are giving some of themselves back to the Lord by offering this Ole Summer House to visitors. God even gave me a special time, by "a nearby" attending to a God filled Mennonite wedding adding to the beautiful place to "get away" for a few days!

Great location!

Such a cozy place to stay, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The location has a barn wedding venue, two weddings took place during our stay, but did not interefere with our stay at all! Far enough from cities, but close enough to travel if wanted.

Great Secluded Family Get-Away!

This guest house is fantastic! My family (2 seniors with their 2 adult sons) reserved the guest house over Labor Day weekend, and we absolutely loved it. Far enough back from the main roads that we sidnt have to worry about traffic noise and such, but close enough to all the major attractions that it didn't feel like a chore to go do fun things. The house was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable for 4 adults. The owner was very gracious, even though we accidentally broke a piece of the kitchen equipment.(sorry again!).

Cozy place to stay on a beautiful farm

We were in Lancaster Co. to visit with family and needed a place to stay so we booked a two night stay at the guest house. It was a great experience and would highly recommend it. It is off the road a little distance on a beautiful farm and very peaceful. Thank you, Grant

Every thing was perfect for us. We loved the guest house. The owner was so gracious to us it was a beautiful peaceful place loved the beautiful landscape. Spent 5 nights here. Great experience. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Centrally located in PA Dutch country and within easy driving distance to many historical sites and other attractions.

Very pleasant stay

This is a modernized wing of the house. It had a fascinating old stove/oven and some beam construction upstairs. We were visiting friends in the area and needed a place to stay. The is a quiet, wonderful place on a farm. The host Grant was attentive and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again. I appreciated the upstairs hand-held shower head. We loved the full sized refrigerator that made our haul from Shady Maple Market easy to store. The first floor is accessible to those with problems with stairs with a 3/4 bath available to use.
