"Having stayed in the lovely Swissotel Bosphorus/Istanbul, I was hesitant to compare Swissotel experience & hope Chicago would be as good. No. Not even close.
The elevated Swissotel brand is not represented here well in this building at all. The valet is $87! Self park is $70 and the self park area doesn’t even have an elevator up to the lobby, you have to walk through a dark, confusing, and claustrophobic garage to stairs then to elevator. Staff were tactful & kind, it’s just the building is...

"Great and helpful and quick staff. Good stay overall. could use better management. Photos online of this hotel show a hot tub available for all guests. However, when checking in, we were told that is a years-old photo and it has since been filled in and a workout room is there instead. There was only 1 trash can in our King sized-bed with sofa bed room, and it was tucked under the bathroom sink. "The location was excellent and the staff were helpful. Unfortunately, my room was dirty. There was dust everywhere and the pillow cases on my bed were dirty. I was able to find a housekeeper and she immediately came to give me clean sheets and pillow cases. The WiFi wasn't working which was a bit frustrating when phone service was limited inside parts of the building. Despite the minor we enjoyed our stay but unfortunately next trip we will seek other accommodations ."

Staff were excellent and very personal....we were greeted with an upgrade room with a view of the lake, just very special and unexpected. Highly recommend staying here.
