"We were really impressed with our stay at Harpers Steakhouse in Haslemere. Looking for a reasonably priced hotel for a one-night stay, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The room was comfortable, air-conditioned (a real plus on a rare hot evening), with a good bed, quality sheets, and complimentary water, a small touch I always appreciate. Dinner was great also. "Lovely old hotel with beautiful rooms in a pretty area. Good cooked breakfasts but limited continental choice. Our room wasn't serviced despite asking twice for this to happen. Maybe staff shortage? Service needs a little more atrention to detail and more management supervision e.g. no orange juice avaliable one morning as it wasn't refilled, given a broken coffee cafetiere on both mornings, as the room wasn't serviced we had an unmade bed, full litter bins and had to ask for milk etc to.be...

"The room was fantastic, but a shame that there was no parking available considering the price - on one night we saw a man sleeping in his van in the car park. It would be good to have a system that prioritizes hotel guests for spaces over pub patrons like these. "

"Very quant old building in the centre of Petworth village. The rooms are very clean, nicely designed with beautiful bathrooms. Mind your head! As a very old building the stairs are narrow and uneven as may present a challenge for folks with limited mobility."

"Lovely hotel with extremely helpful staff. The room was large with lovely bathroom and was very clean. We ate two nights in the HarBar and enjoyed both meals. Staff in the restaurant were very helpful making sure our allergies were attended to. Several staff asked us if we needed help with anything. Great hotel and staff."

"Great staff, friendly, helpful & polite. Dining area and gardens are attractive and spacious. Our bedroom & ensuite were large and tastefully decorated. We had a lovely stay but there were a few things that would have made it excellent: the bedroom mirror was v dirty & smeared and the blind above the bed was broken, so couldn’t let more daylight into the room during the day. "The property was tired and needs a overhaul. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bed was good. The staff were absolutely brilliant helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Food was lovely both breakfast and dinner. Would recommend it "

"Absolutely fantastic, the staff are really lovely and welcoming. The hotel and grounds are first class. Food in the restaurant and bar is very well presented and delicious. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. If you're ever in Horsley this hotel is definitely worth staying in. A short walk from the hotel is the towers, a stately hall with stunning surroundings. The rates for the room is excellent value for money. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely be booking another...
