"Chapel of Barras is a great place to stay! The room was spacious with a huge closet and an en suite bathroom. Breakfast was a huge Scottish breakfast with haggis, black pudding, bacon, sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms, plus fried eggs and toast! Also, coffee, juice, scones, and some other stuff too - very filling! The hosts are very friendly and helpful with lots of knowledge of the area. Location is great - out in the countryside, nice and quiet, but not too far from towns and the seaside."

"Although only 10 minutes from Stonehaven it was ideally situated in the beautiful Kincardine countryside. Room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was whatever you wanted and the bonus for us was that the plum tree in the garden was groaning with fruit. Owner picked some delicious plums for us. If we're back in the area well certainly consider Crawfield Grange as the #1 place to stay. "

"Check in was effortless with a nice chat with the receptionist. I had upgraded my room for this visit and it was really comfortable with a large bed and a coffee machine, but other than this the standard room I usually have is very good. As ever I used the gym and the pool which are both really good for a hotel. Only problem was, as it's the school holidays the kids were enjoying themselves in the usually tranquil pool,lol. "Absolutely loved this quirky castle. The owners was so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about the castles history and did a personal tour which I loved. His love for the property showed so much in this tour. Breakfast was delicious and left nothing to ask for. Would stay here again. No complaints. "
