4/10
Our stay at this property was disappointing, especially for international travelers. The listed unit (1A) was behind a locked metal gate, making it impossible to access or ring the doorbell. We waited outside and eventually found an elderly couple at the back—one of them was the owner, who didn’t speak English.
He led us upstairs. The balcony was dirty, which he blamed on birds, and he cleaned it while showing basic kitchen utensils. We thanked him and tried to settle in, but there was no hot water. After returning in the evening, still no hot water. We couldn’t ring the bell again due to the locked gate, so we had to shout for attention. His wife heard and sent him down. He turned on the boiler and told us to wait 40 minutes—something that should’ve already been done. It felt like an attempt to save electricity.
Other issues: no soap or shampoo, no power outlets near the bed (only one high on the wall under the TV), no kettle unless requested, gas stove didn’t work (and smelled of gas), and the electric burner was unplugged by the owner without explanation.
We left the next morning. Poor communication, lack of basic amenities, and limited accessibility made our stay stressful. Not recommended for non-Croatian-speaking tourists.
