"Have stayed here 3 times in the last few years. A wonderfully spacious hotel in every respect. Excellent service from staff, especially the Polish lady at the checkin counter and Lynn at breakfast. Free parking at the football stadium opposite the hotel. I love the walk-in shower. Modern and slick. I love the teak wood furniture in the room. The lightings. The pillows. The strong wifi. Etc. Will stay here again in the near future."

"A fantastic castle experience: it’s so much more interesting to stay in one than just looking. The staff were friendly and helpful and food was good too. There were a lot of stairs to negotiate to reach our top floor accommodation."

"We had a lovely stay at the Dakota. We were greeted at the door by 2 staff members who were lovely and showed us to reception. Reception staff were lovely and friendly, engaged in conversation asking about our day. Wished me a Happy Birthday and our room was ready early, so was able to check in a good couple of hours earlier. Room was nice and spacious, clean and we could monitor the air con. Our overall stay was amazing and would definately reccomend. We didnt go in tbe restaurant/bar or stayed...

We booked 3 rooms as had our adult children with us and all agreed that this is the best hotel we have stayed in whilst visiting Newcastle. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to town and quayside. Will definitely stay there again next time I am in the North East."

"The manager Anna couldn’t have been nicer. She greeted us with a cup of tea and biscuits and allowed us to check-in early and was very helpful with suggestions of things to do in the city. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and included on-site free parking. Location just a short walk into the centre. Breakfast also very good with lots of options. "

"Hotel Staff were Very Nice. Parking/ Car Park is accessible. The bedroom was nice but maybe on the smaller side. The bed had a few back marks on the sheets. One downside to being next to the sea is that you can hear the seagulls all night but this isn’t the hotels fault. No coffee or Tea in the room. Good Stay!"
