"There was dirt dust and someone’s chapstick under the pull out bed . The hotel is just older and could use some updates. Everything else was satisfactory. We would stay again it was a quick fun trip with our granddaughter and she had a blast. We have been coming there for years the pool furniture was dirty tables etc just maybe need a good scrubbing. "

"Very friendly front desk, offering tips of the area around! Great place for a family. Rustic but modern. Room service daily upon request. We had our five year-old grandson and he loved all the facility had to offer. The pool and hot tub could’ve been a little cleaner, but we realize with all the trees in the area, that is a challenge. Still very enjoyable. Great little town, glad that it is still not as commercialized as South Tahoe."

"Cleanliness was good, but upkeep of the premises is concerning. Roof needs cleaning of debris, flashings are missing, broken items are stashed at the side of the building and can be seen from some tables, covers on electrical mechanisms are missing, carpet is old and dirty in entrance area, etc. Going out of business soon? It would be a shame as it is a lovely place. Owners need to spruce it up."

"Overall we had a pretty good stay. We really like the area. The beach is right across the street and nice and quiet. There are three main things needed to make a hotel good. Clean, safe, good bed. The first two delivered…the bed however was too firm. My German friends would love it, not me nor my hubby. The showers had endless hot water. The ice machine had lovely ice like Sonic. The pool was waaaay too warm. It was like swimming in a hot spring. The check in was fairly easy. It was rather odd...

"For Check in after 4pm you just grab your envelope out of a mailbox. No room key just a code. Property right on the water beautiful views. Not modern but clean. Short walk to kings beach along the lake edge. Kitchen had everything you needed and Safeway across the street. "

"This property is old and very dated. The room did include a microwave and fridge. The listing was clear that there was no air conditioning, but the room had a box fan which worked well. We were able to view the room before we were charged, which was nice. The price was reasonable for North Lake Tahoe. "

"This one of the best hotel rooms I've ever stayed at. The decorating was just our style, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom perfect for our needs. If we'd stayed longer, we'd have definitely used the kitchen for a meal or two. "

"Options can be limited in this area if you want to stay within walking distance, with the average nightly price being relatively high. Red Wolf offers a lovely room with a very comfortable bed for a lot less cost per night. We will definitely return for another stay. "
