I am extremely disappointed by my stay at Hilton Doha The Pearl, which was genuinely distressing and completely unacceptable.
During our stay, I found what appeared to be bed bugs in the room, which I immediately reported to hotel staff and provided photographic evidence of. This alone is unacceptable in any hotel, let alone a Hilton-branded property.
What made the situation far worse was how it was handled. I have a serious autoimmune skin condition, which I clearly explained to the staff. Despite this, the hotel refused to relocate us to another Hilton property and declined to offer a full refund, leaving us with no option but to pack up and leave the hotel in the middle of the night.
As a result of this stay, I developed bites on my arms and chest, which caused a flare-up of my skin condition, significant discomfort, and extreme anxiety. I am now having to wash and dry all of my clothing at high heat to avoid bringing bed bugs home, which has caused further cost and inconvenience.
I was travelling with my sister, and we had never travelled alone before. Being forced to urgently find another hotel and take an Uber late at night was incredibly stressful and upsetting. This was not a situation anyone should be put in — especially when staying at what is meant to be a reputable, high-end hotel.
While partial refunds were later issued through Expedia, they do not reflect the seriousness of the incident, the health impact, or the additional expenses incurred due to the hote
