The pool is scheduled for one hour maintenance and cleaning every Tuesday. Seasonal (Closed September - March) Unless you like cold!
We just ask that you respect the area. Before you leave pile up dirty towels and put trash in the trash by the microwave. We take care of the rest.

  • Joseph Winthrop Holley, born in 1874 to former slaves in Winnsboro, South Carolina, founded the institution in 1903 as the Albany Bible and Manual Training Institute. W. E. B. Du Bois inspired Holley to return to the South after he read Du Bois's writings on the plight of Albany's blacks in The Souls of Black Folk. Holley relocated to Albany to start a school. With the help of a $2,600 gift from the Hazard family, Holley organized a board of trustees and purchased 50 acres (200,000 m2) of land for the campus, all within a year. The aim of the institution at the time was to provide elementary education and teacher training for the local Black population. It was turned over to the state of Georgia in 1917 as Georgia Normal and Agricultural College, a two-year agricultural and teacher-training institution. In 1932, the school became part of the University System of Georgia and in 1943 it was granted four-year status and renamed Albany State College. The transition to four-year status heavily increased the school's enrollment. In 1981 the college offered its first graduate program, a prelude to the school being upgraded to university status in 1996.

Hello Tysons here we have stayed here 2 times so far and will be returning its the oerfect get away for a small setting of 2 to 3 people very quiet and safe. We would like a toaster oven 😋 but other then that its packed with all you need for your stay.

If you’re going to be in Doerun, GA and need a place to stay this is it. We weren’t there long but this place made our short stay incredible. The hosts were great from the time we booked till the time we checked out. I highly recommend

Best stay!

We had to have a place for a night. All rooms were booked because of graduation. This place was a jewel. Nice and very accommodating owners. Very very clean. Precious little cottage style guest house. Won’t even look for a hotel next time. I know to rebook here. Definitely recommend this place.

Unique and Relaxing Place!

This team could give lessons on creating a beautiful, clean, classy, fully appointed rental. If you can’t make it to the beach, come here! I was completely satisfied with every aspect of my stay and have already talked it up to others! Hosts were wonderful and accommodating. Slice of heaven.

Property is in a small town but has 5 star ammenities! Property owners have taken great care to insure you have everything you need! The bed is a pull out but so comfortable! For two people traveling South this is a different but really nice place to stop over!

Nice Get Away!

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean, and well stocked. The pool was beautiful! Homeowners were very responsive, and friendly. We will definitely be visiting again when visiting family.
