"Very nice property! Great location, nice views, very nice room which was very clean especially for a Pet friendly room. They had everything you need in the room. The grounds/gardens are well maintained and pretty. Nicely lit at night. The restaurant/Tavern was excellent; great food, wonderful atmosphere and service. Our server Matt was amazing! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Even our fur babies enjoyed the stay just as much as we did. We will be coming back here for sure!"

"Firstly, although advertised, there is no breakfast at all. This needs to be removed from Expedia, etc. May have earned an excellent rating, if not for this deception. Checking was quick and efficiently professional, despite the 4-person line. We stayed in a large, deluxe King room, which was located on the ground floor, in a detached building, overlooking the harbor. Nice. "Our toilet broke within 10 minutes of checking in and when I called the front desk they said they didn’t have maintenance and encouraged my husband to fix it if he could. A few minutes later maintenance showed up but had no clue what was the problem so my husband basically had to use his tools to fix it himself. The only “amenity” the ice machine was also broken. If they would just repair some of these outdated things then it would be a nice place to stay."

The place was great, and the ocean view was fantastic, but we didn't realize there aren't any trail/path options for walking, and we have an active dog. We asked if we could switch to the Farm location, and the staff went out of their way after hours to move us even though it was difficult because our reservation was through Expedia and not directly with them. "This place is really nice! Rooms are adorable and the grounds are beautiful. Easy trail access to Van Damme beach and the trail itself is lined with wildflowers and lovely views. Nice chicken enclosure where you can feed them and the Llama are so cute! "Had a wonderful stay at Mendocino Cove! They were pet friendly and had a dog bed, bowls, treats and even towels for our little pup. Amazing grounds and property is well kept. Location perfect with a labyrinth and easy trek to the beach. Room was perfect for our daughter's birthday getaway. Had a bit of wifi issue upon check-in, but it was resolved the next day and didn't miss it all too much. It was relaxing and they really try to focus on wellness.
