"Called and asked about accessibility, my wife is in a wheelchair, was told no problem you are on the ground floor with your own entrance. Got to property parking was in alley behind building, easily 75 to 100 ft down steep steps with no railings, not possible to get my wife down them. Talked with staff and basically told tough luck, no refund, no help to find other accommodations. Ended up having to book another room 20 miles away in Chambersburg. Yeah I would really “recommend “ this place."

"This property is a gem for history enthusiasts. It contains a museum of artifacts discovered during renovations and is decorated to match the period it was built in. It is modern and clean however, with modern comforts like new outlets on each side of the bed and at both vanities in the bathroom. The staff were incredible. The owners helped us bring in our luggage and showed us around the house. They told us about the history as well as how to maximize our stay in Gettysburg. They found an...

"Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better."

"Room was clean, and it is a convenient location for a very low price relative to surrounding options. The breakfast selection was pretty rough, and the dining room had a funky smell. But the room was so cheap we just justified going to a nearby diner for breakfast instead."

"If you'd like to stay next to a highway with a steady stream of big rigs going by from early in the morning until late at night, all using their air brakes to slow down for the roundabout, this is the place for you. Don't think about peace and quiet, there isn't any. This is an ancient building located in the center of traffic. It was a mistake to stay there. We don't recommend it for any reason unless you don't need sleep. Now, the antique nature of the building is "cute" but not practical....
