"Locanda Fiori di Zagara" is a historical residence dating from the 1700s in the heart of Diso, an enchanting village in Salento just 3 km from the sea. Despite its compact size, Diso offers supermarkets, bars, pharmacies and some traditional restaurants, making your stay both comfortable and pleasant.
The WP Relais residence has been carefully restored to preserve the original colours, materials and design of the historical residence. This meticulous remodelling has brought back the charm of the past while integrating it with the highest level of comfort. Immersed in the peace and tranquillity of the historical centre, the property borders the countryside, offering a perfect setting for a holiday that combines privacy and nature.
The elegant furnishings lend a touch of modern sophistication, blending harmoniously with the Art Deco frescoes and original tiles from the early 20th century. The WP Relais villa has seven double bedrooms, a reading room with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining room, two lounges and a beautiful swimming pool in Lecce stone, set in a private garden of orange and lemon trees.
The rooms each have a unique identity and evoke the magical atmosphere of a historical house in every detail, from the furnishings to the accessories. Each room, characterised by evocative names such as "Profumo" (Perfume), "Marea" (Tide), "Vento" (Wind), "Nuvole" (Clouds), "Luna" (Moon), "Venere" (Venus) and "Spazio" (Space), is equipped with a private bathroom, flat screen TV and air conditioning.
The entire WP Relais villa is for the exclusive use of guests: from the garden with swimming pool to the veranda, from the orange grove to the two internal courtyards. WP Relais is ready to accompany you on a journey into the magic of Salento, where you can discover restaurants, creeks, artisan crafts, boutiques and oases of tranquillity.

The beds were nice and the sheets were clean. The home is large and could easily accommodate more than our group of 8 adults. Everything was as communicated on Vrbo and was well appointed with the exception of a dirty pool and the stove was sometimes a challenge for us.. All in all, our stay was very enjoyable. Diso is a lovely little town and the house was only a minute walking distance to all amenities.

Wonderful and memorable stay

Excellent location, clean, beautiful design.we stayed with a bigger group but the house was so spacious no one felt on top of each other. Rooms and washroom were specious for south of Italy. The house was stunning every detail of it. The town also had great restaurant, coffee shops, market.we travelled to beaches all around everyday but location was central so easy for us. I’d book this property again

As Good as Everyone Says

We just spent a lovely two weeks at the Villa in Diso. We can endorse what all the other reviewers have said about the size of the house, the privacy of the bedrooms, the common areas and the pool. In addition to these important features there were a few small touches we really appreciated and which are not often found in other rentals. We can't say enough about how helpful the owner Gaia was in arranging activities, offering advice and coordinating with local providers. Super responsive as well. Each bedroom has a separate slip air conditioning unit which works very well, very important in summer (although the evenings were pleasant even in August). Also there were screens on the bedroom windows. This is not common in Italy but is really helpful if you want to open the windows and keep out mosquitoes. The Wi-Fi is very strong and fast and reaches everywhere around the property. We had 9 adults and one child all on their devices at the same time with perfect function. Finally, there is no need for the guests to worry about trash management. There are well marked recycling bins behind the kitchen and the house managers take care of taking it away for you. We've rented houses for a number of years in Italy and other places. This one goes above and beyond.

Fabulous house, fabulous location, fabulous hosts. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Easy rental and check in process. Great communication with hosts who were welcoming and helpful. House itself is a gem. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Stay

This house and location is incredible. Our group of 13 was incredibly comfortable and everything was more beautiful than the pictures even show. We were a short drive from beautiful town and swimming spots and the fact that we could walk to town for coffee, groceries, pizza was an added bonus. The owners were super responsive and lovely. I would go back in heartbeat.

Perfect Week in Apulia

We spent a wonderful week in this house and enjoyed especially the terrace and the pool a lot. The place perfectly combines wonderful old South-Italian design with modern comfort (air-conditioning, great bathrooms/showers) and offers a lot of space for privacy. It is well located to visit some amazing spots in Apulia. The owner was very responsive and Lucia, the housekeeper, was extremely nice and helpful.

Perfect place!

This house is truly amazing. It’s big, clean, the backyard is beautiful… It has a main bulding with 4 rooms inside, plus there’s 3 other rooms with their own exit in the private alley of the propriety. It’s perfect for large groups who wants to have some privacy. Diso, the little village, is also just perfect if you want to feel the « True Italian vibe ». We went every morning to the Portici restaurant to grab our croissants, cafe and orange juice; it’s truly a gem! Salvatore, the guy working there, helped us a lot with different advices. And Lucia, the lady taking care of the house, was really nice with us, while Gaia was always available to answer our questions. Really, you can’t go wrong with this place!! We already want to come back 🙂

Paradise in Diso ❤️

The house is absolutely stunning and the amenities are second to none. Diso has all the charm of a little village but also has fantastic dining and drinks options that are open all hours of the day and night. Our host Pietro was a great communicator and Lucia, who met us at the impossible hour of 11 pm after a flight cancellation, was absolutely fabulous. Holidays don't get better than this. Thanks :) PS - 200 m away at the main square is Portico, which is open 24 hours a day. Say hello to Salvatore, the owner. A wonderfully generous person who will guarantee you have a fantastic Diso adventure.

Excellent séjour dans cette merveilleuse villa, très bien située pour visiter la région et pour se reposer dans un cadre exceptionnel. L’accueil est chaleureux et parfait. Les propriétaires sont très réactifs et donnent d’excellentes adresses. A refaire absolument.

Fantastic group holiday

Just came back from three wonderful nights at the Locanda. We were on a corporate trip and every colleague loved this place. Truly a hidden gem. It's not that easy to find houses with so many bedrooms but in this case we had the villa all by ourselves plus two private apartments in the adjacent building. Just what we needed: privacy, but also great communal spaces so we could spend time together. The whole locanda is gorgeous and beautifully decorated and every room comes with its own bathroom (some of them are spectacular!). Fully equipped kitchen, a gorgeous pool and lots of outside spaces. Diso is a super small town but you'll find everything you need within minutes by car. Also, you're in the middle of the beautiful Salento region so make sure to explore the area and all of its beaches. Super easy communication with Gaia and Pietro. Also a huge thank you to the lovely Lucia who greeted us on our arrival. Very recommended! Would come back for sure!

Amazing house for group vacations

We had the most amazing stay at Locanda Fiore di Zagara in Diso. The house was even bigger, better and cleaner than we had expected after looking at the pictures. Gaia was very helpful and as always (second time we rent a house from Gaia) quick in responding to e-mails. The small sleepy town of Diso is very cute and the people are very friendly. The house is perfect for groups of friends as you'll get your privacy (all rooms have their own bathrooms) and then there are great common areas too where everyone can hang out together. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a feast. The only thing we didn't find in the house that we could wish for was a grill - so I e-mailed Gaia to ask if there was one. A few hours later they had bought one and put by the pool!!! We also appreciated the fact that Gaia was so flexible with both check-in and check-out. Can definitely recommend this house! Can't come to think of anything that's not to like.
