I liked the place but the pillow covers & bed linens in master bedroom were used when i got there. Overall good place but if youre charging a heavy cleaning fee you need to ensure the beds are clean.

If I could give zero stars, I would! We were in the home less than 48 hours before finding a cockroach in the bathroom. I texted the host, And. With pictures of the cockroach and where we found it and at what time and her response was OMG. This is a problem.My response that it was a problem and we were not comfortable staying in the home any longer. She did respond by saying she would refund the rest of our stay and to let them know when we had left the home so they could have somebody come out and treat the house. We packed up our belongings which included our dog. I immediately called Vrbo to inform them to cancel the reservation that we were leaving due to cockroaches and ask for help in finding a new home that was pet friendly, not pest friendly. I was advised by Vrbo that they would contact the host and to send screenshots of my texts and pictures so they had documentation. I was also advised that Vrbo does not have any money to refund our stay that it would come directly from the host. Vrbo also stated they could not find me a new home to stay in that they could look for properties. However, ultimately I would have to go back onto the Vrbo app and book my own home. After a grueling, seven hours of trying to find somewhere else to stay that would accommodate our dates and the dog. We ended up at a hotel that was 15 miles away from where we wanted to stay. On Friday late morning I went onto the Vrbo app and messaged the host and asked where is my refund.

Absolutely Horrible Experience – Do Not Book! Roaches

I do not recommend this property to anyone. My family traveled into town for a wedding, and what should have been a joyful and restful night turned into a nightmare. Within hours of checking in, we saw not one, but five roaches crawling throughout the property. I captured them on video and immediately reached out to the host, Ann, to inform her of the infestation. To my surprise, she completely dismissed my concerns and offered no solution whatsoever.We were forced to pack up and leave in the middle of the night to find a clean and safe place to stay – an incredibly stressful and frustrating experience before an important family event. Despite several follow-ups and clear documentation, Ann has refused to refund even a single night, claiming I should have called for a relocation as if that’s a realistic solution at midnight with a full house of guests.On top of that, parking is a nightmare – street parking isn’t allowed, and there’s no clear alternative. The back room had pet hair everywhere, and the home definitely does not accommodate 15 overnight guests comfortably. The “spacious” claim is completely misleading.This host lacks accountability, and the home is not properly maintained or managed. Save yourself the hassle, and book elsewhere.

New Year's Eve event

I have stayed at this property many times and I keep coming back because of the home and the owners. If there is a problem, which is extremely rare, they get it taken care of immediately. Great communication with the owners, easy check in, flexible with times. I will of course return to this house again.

Home for the holidays

We were really drawn to this property because of the layout of the home and the fun theme. (Our family is a huge dog family.) I would make just a few suggestions: Adding ice trays in the freezer and a filtering water pitcher to keep in the fridge; a couple of the pillows should be replaced due to the strong pet smell; and a door mat at the side door. These are just suggestions. We very much enjoyed our stay!! Thank you for the little Christmas decorations and treats!

Perfect house for a holiday stay!

We booked this house for our family of 5 (4, 2 and 6 month old) and two dogs for the week of Thanksgiving since my family is in the Shores. The house was way better in person! Very spacious, perfect bedroom set up, king bedroom on the first floor and two queen bedroom and two twin bedroom upstairs. Remodeled bathrooms, easy to use TVS and even some Christmas decor for the holiday season. We will definitely be booking again next time we come for a visit and recommending to other family members for when they come to visit too. Highly recommend!!

Awesome!

I was in town for a wedding. I was initially attracted to the posting given its proximity to Irelands Pub (my friends own the pub and it was their sister that was getting married). Additionally I was traveling with my Pomsky and was joined by my friend and her daughter. We weren’t in the house often given all the wedding activities but the home was perfect and we are pleased with our stay! We did take pictures of all the terriers for our friend that has 2 terriers!

Fishing trip

Property was in a great location. House was nice. Could have used more towels and wash cloths. Good thing some guys brought their own. It was located close to the boat launch, which was very convenient, but it is very difficult to back a bass boat and truck in due to the narrow street and the neighbors all park their cars at the end of their driveway rather than pulling up to their garages, which creates an issue trying to cut the corner to back a boat trailer in.

Lovely House

Very clean and lovely house. Great safe neighborhood for dog (or person) walking. Great location near the highway for access to downtown Detroit and surrounding areas. My dog, especially, had a great time with the large yard, dog artwork, and all the toys.
