"The house was lovely, spacious, clean and well stocked with anything you might need. It is in a tranquil village and has plentiful off-road parking. The garden has an excellent view and is so peaceful to sit in. There is a park 2 minutes down the lane, a football field, and if you continue down the lane, there is a pond and a lovely walk around it. It was perfectly located between all the walking areas I wanted to see and complete. When we arrived there was bread, milk and some treats waiting...

"Lovely cottage which was well equipped for two very young children. Fantastic scenery all around and the hot tub at night is an absolute bonus! "

"Lovely apartment but needed a thorough clean. Walking bearfooted floors felt gritty and a little sticky. Wooden cabinets in kitchen and living area full of greasy fingerprints. Duvet had about a two inch bloody looking stain on it, brought it to their attention, it was returned later in the day in same condition. Sorry to complain but it really spoilt what was otherwise a lovely stay. Nice staff."

"Everything was great other than communication for check in. The link I was sent was broken and the host never responded to phone calls or voice messages or emails to give us the information. We managed to find the actual property by identifying it from photos, we then had to phone around to get the key code as we sat outside the property. This needs to be improved "

"Lock Cottage is simply but comfortably furnished and very roomy. It is situated on a quiet and attractive street. The only downside was the shower being in the bath which wasn’t obvious from the photos and it’s something we try to avoid as we find them difficult to get in and out of. Nearby is Levisham which has a very attractive pub, The Horseshoe, as well as Levisham station where you can watch the steam trains on their way through between Pickering and Whitby."

"A wonderful apartment in a peaceful and beautiful setting. York is just around the corner and we found this a great base for our trips around Yorkshire. Everything you need is available and the landlords were very friendly and communicative. We can only recommend it and will definitely be back!"
