"Novel Hotel is a relatively modern resort on the shores of Lake Issyk-kul. It's location is at the far end of the strip of resorts centered around Cholpon-Ata. There are only a few General stores around the local Village and no restaurants, so eating options are restricted to the resort itself. The hotel restaurant, next to the swimming pool, provides good standard of food at a relatively expensive price.

"I’d like to leave a review for anyone who doesn’t want to end up on the street at night looking for alternative accommodation. On the day I needed to extend my stay, I rang reception and asked to extend my booking; I was told to do this via Expedia, which I did, but my smart key wasn’t extended. As I was leaving to run some errands, I called reception again to let them know, said I’d be back late, and asked for confirmation of the extension. "Die Unterkunft ist leider nicht zu empfehlen. Bereits vor Ankunft wurden alle emails nicht beantwortet. Vor Ort hatten wir dann mehrfach Stromausfall über 5-6 Stunden und konnten dann auch keine Toilette nutzen. Ein Entgegenkommen vom Hotel gab es nicht. Die Hütten sind auch in einem schlechten Zustand und haben diverse Mängel an Türen, Fenstern, etc. "
