"I recently visited this property during the Canada Day long weekend and I’m in awe of the view and the hospitality Brett and Jane had to offer. This was a relaxing trip for us and we just wanted to get away from the hustle bustle of the city. This spot is also great for people who like water sports, canoeing etc. The cottage is newly renovated and located at the Haliburton lake. "We just returned from the most incredible stay at this stunning cottage by the lake, and we’re already counting down the days until we can go back! "3 women taking classes for the week at Fleming. The cabin is a perfect location, very close to town, paved road, very quiet area, lovely lake view and access. The cabin is really comfortable and every room is comfortable with lots of amenities. Kitchen has everything plus lots of space for the items we brought. This will be our first choice for next year. Many thanks to our thoughtful host"

"Liked the lake side setting with a beach area suitable for activities of watching the sun set. Had a good selection of watercraft available for guest use. The barbecue on the deck was a real plus giving a lot of flexibility in menu selection."

"Quaint 1970s style wooden building nicely decorated - they even had a turntable and albums (in addition to the bluetooth speaker). The upstairs loft overlooking the living room is just as pictured. The bed was comfy if the pillows could use an update; they were a bit too flat and lumpy for our liking but it's really our only complaint. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need. The BBQ works great, the hot tub was wonderful and the little propane firepit was lovely. We happily...

"I was very impressed with the setup and the decor of the apartment. It was very convenient to be steps away from the bridge and the main street. Was very grateful that it was pet-friendly. My dog was very comfortable. One thing I would recommend is to add a light in the walkway to the apartment. It was very uncomfortable to be alone walking between the two buildings in the dark. "

"We had such an amazing week. Sun, fun & memories made. The cottage is beautiful. We loved sitting in the screened in room in the evenings. The owners were so wonderful, leaving everything needed for a wonderful week. The lake was great for swimming. The kids had an absolute blast jumping in off the docks. We are already planning our stay again for next summer!!"

"The house is huge - the furniture is quite shabby - couches on blocks of wood. Beds are falling apart. Only sheets provided not a single blanket in the house and only a couple of towels. The outdoor area was completely overgrown and the firepit had no usable area to sit around it. The decks were huge. There was no bbq that was usable and the canoe was full of holes. The upstairs is very odd with a railing around a hole in the middle. Pretty much a waste of space. The railings should be...

"Our stay at Steve's cottage last week was nothing short of magical. The highlight, without a doubt, was the **absolutely spectacular sunset view over Penn Lake, right from the private dock. Winding down each evening watching the sky explode in color over the calm water was an unforgettable experience – a view truly rare to find and worth the trip alone!The lake itself felt alive and welcoming. We loved watching the big fish swimming right under the deck and were charmed daily by a sweet family...

"Our family really enjoyed our stay! The location was great, and the rental itself was clean, comfortable, and had a cozy, homey feel. The kids loved having space to run around in the fenced-in backyard, and we especially enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit in the evening.Communication with the host was excellent— They were very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had.Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.
