"I really would love to give this hotel less ratings, but the staff upfront was nice but the people that came through there it was a nightmare almost every night there was people running up and down the hallway screaming no one doing anything about it one time till 2:30 in the morning. I also had other issues, but the staff upfront was nice but when we got back, we realize our watch was stolen from that hotel. "Room are wack and dirty carpet should be vacuumed, bugs in rooms, towels have stains, check your covers, dead and alive bugs in rooms, fridge works, latch on doors don’t mean privacy cuz they come into your room even when locked, invade privacy, says no smoking but my first night it had a bag over the smoke detector already, and the people that live there smoke inside the rooms as well, so that’s doesn’t mean anything, if house keeping was done properly it’d be a okay room, pool stays closed,...

"The rooms have not been updated, clearly a hotel that has been used for “hourly” stays. Would not recommend for traveling especially with a family."

"We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in the Piney Woods. The host and staff are so easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had. We enjoyed roasting hot dogs in the fire pit and visiting nearby state and local parks. "

"Winnsboro Lake Retreat was very relaxing. The interior of the house was spotless. Every we needed and more was at our disposal. Beds were comfortable and the view out at the lake was great. We were a little disappointed that the dock was not usable. We were not informed before our stay about this condition and we should have been. We did not swim as the area looked unsafe to be in the water. Overall our stay was very nice."
