"Tamala has been my preferred hotel in Banjul. I am disappointed to see the state in which it is now. My room was not properly cleaned, lights kept going off, the intercom in my room did not work and on one of the days the internet went off with no explanation from staff."

"Lovely large hotel with beautiful grounds, surrounded by coconut trees, the beach cabanas, pool area are nice. Room is period colonial, it could with upgrading the rooms, the tv was small and not digital so unable to watch any apps of my own and there was only one English language movie channel that wasn’t very clear.

"Left picture frame in room. Was never returned."

Good things at Kasumai are: pool area next to nice beach and palm trees, relaxed vibe, touristic but no overload compared to some resorts. Its not fancy but its defenetly good. The area is nice and relaxing and everything works well even though sometimes slow. Bad things might be no elevator, no fancy entrance, but its worth mentioning that it always felt safe and secure. The location is a small stretch away for the tourist center...
