Our studio apartment that sleeps 4 is located in the historical Argonne building is in the heart of downtown Des Moines! This place is stocked with the necessities including elevator, wifi, secured building, smart TV, and your own washer and dryer. Located across from Papajohn Sculpture Park, walking distance to all the amazing restaurants on Ingersoll, Confluence and Big Grove Brewery are just steps away - enjoy everything downtown has to offer!

We are available 7 days a week 8a.m. -12MID CST

Welcome to downtown DSM! You'll be surrounded with numerous dining and entertainment options just steps away. Don't miss the beautiful Sculpture Park, located right across the street. Even an eclectic Consignment shop located right in the building! Big Grove Brewery & Confluence Brewery just a few blocks away!

You have access to the entire building.

Welcome to our studio apartment, thoughtfully crafted with your comfort in mind. Step into this generously sized, open space where you'll discover a dreamy queen-sized bed, a smart TV for your entertainment, and a fully stocked kitchen. In addition, you'll have the convenience of a separate room housing a washer and dryer, along with a well-appointed bathroom. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, rest assured that everything you need for a perfect stay - long term or short term - is right here at your fingertips.

Getting around couldn't be easier. Whether you prefer exploring the city by foot, bike or ride share, your in the center of it all! Great public transit, bike lanes, even sky walks to avoid bad weather!

The Argonne building is in a great spot downtown at the end of Grand. Close enough to the night life, but far enough and quiet enough to relax and unwind. PERFECT spot for traveling medical professionals - 5-7 minutes to all the downtown hospitals. Also blocks away from Gateway Park - where multiple DSM festivals are held.

I liked that it was close to breweries, farmer’s market and the church where we attended a wedding. My wife and I both found the beds to be uncomfortable and we did not sleep well on them. There was mold in the shower stall. We couldn’t find any salt or pepper in the kitchen. The barstools in the kitchen area seemed unstable and a chair to sit on while watching television would’ve been nice. A little more space to place toiletries in the bathroom would’ve been nice as well. The vintage thrift store in the building was a nice bonus.

Grand Blue

Was there to participate in the Drake Relay’s Grand Blue Mile. This location was just 2 blocks from the starting line. Parking was also convenient. Would stay there again.

Cumbersome process check in process

The place, location cleanliness was great. However, booking (to us) was cumbersome. We have rented VRBO's for many years and never had to take a pictire of our driver's license for verification. Thos made me uncomfortable.

We had a great stay in this apartment. Everything was top-notch from the communication from our host prior to our arrival to any of our needs during this stay. We appreciated the location and coziness of the apartment. For the price we thought it was quite a bargain. Would definitely stay again.

Good location

Worked well as an extra sleeping space for our group, but there was no hot water in the shower. It was quickly restored but it stopped working again the next morning.

Weekend stay

Me and a couple friends stayed at this spot and it was perfect. Two queen sized beds a kitchen and a bathroom. Everything we needed. The location was perfect. Close enough to downtown and the event center with plenty to do within walking distance. Definitly a great stay and was cozier than a hotel just without the amenties. (Pool/hot tub type stuff)

Short Stay

The building is a beautiful older building - loved the personality that it held. We were thankful for the elevator in getting to the apartment with our luggage. Also thankful for the washer and dryer in the apartment. Unfortunately, the apartment was extremely dirty (floors, bathroom, etc..). If we are back in the area, we will look elsewhere for our stay.

Des Moines half Ironman

My husband and two sons needed a place to stay while I competed in the Des Moines Ironman 70.3 race. I wanted a kitchen so I could make my pre race meal and it provided what I needed. The location was actually right off the run of the race so that was super nice. We were told we would have a hair dryer but there was none in the apartment. I contacted the host and they immediately got me a hair dryer. The TV was also broken, which they were not able to replace on time but luckily we weren’t in the apartment long enough to really need it. I do wish there was more storage and counter space in the bathroom. I think that would make the bathroom a little more user friendly. We didn’t have much space to put our toiletries all four of us used. The shower also took a very long time to heat up but once it did it was very nice. Overall, the place was pretty much what I expected to have and worked for what we needed for the weekend. I would come back. I loved the area it was located in as well!
