"Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. "Absolutely amazing 3 night stay. Lovely village, lovely warm welcome, lovely couple who run the sun inn and they couldnt do enough for you to make sure our stay was comfortable and fantastic. "We had a brilliant stay at the Hygge, it is tucked in the corner surrounded by open countryside, just beautiful. The quietness was appreciated and lovely. The Hygge itself was spot on, well maintained and very clean. We found it to be a very comfortable and practical place to stay. "We thoroughly enjoyed staying in a castle. Staff were very friendly and professional . There was a selection of two menus for dinner. The more casual menu had steak and ale pie which was exceptional and a generous portion size. The hotel is conveniently located to visit Hadrian's Wall and the Roman History Museum. "Gorgeous place, full of character and warm of welcome. Great atmosphere and staff obviously love what they do and are always watchful and ensure that you have a special time.
