"Wonderful food and service"

"Room was clean and comfortable, staff were courteous. We had a problem with the lock on the outside door and struggled to get into the hotel when we returned. There was no one to contact if we had been unable to open the door "

"Check in was quick and easy. Staff were helpful and polite, even moved me from a room in the inn to an annexe room so I could be away from noise from bar. Also had a very good breakfast which is extra but excellent value for money. Definitely recommend it hotel and breakfast."

"The Hotel is a treat for the eyes and a great place to relax in the many rooms. A beautiful bar and a great breakfast kept us satisfied after a day of exploring the area. A super comfortable bed made our stay even better. The golf course looks beautiful and the hiking trails are interesting. Easy to park your car. The staff were helpful and very polite. "For the last 2 times we were checked in by a staff member who was not customer service or caring at all!! Very cold and not willing to help in any way. The first time we had 4 suitcases to take to our room and outside the hotel there was an airport trolley. My husband loaded it and as we passed the desk were told we couldn’t take it to the room. We had planned to bring it straight back down stairs. The second time my husband booked the room for me and didn’t realise it was in his name. She...

"Lovely quirky room in a lovely pub in a quiet location food was lovely clean room I did think the check in service could be a little more professional has we were given wrong keys to our room. The only downside was the WiFi in the room it didn’t work and you don’t get a phone signal, taxis are must if you plan to explore walking isn’t an option due to location. "

"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

The experience was disappointing from arrival: waited ~15 minutes outside due to lack of staff support and found access confusing with multiple locks. The listing was misleading—what I expected to be a self-contained apartment had key facilities (sofas/TV) in a communal area, and the room itself was very small. The shower was lukewarm and the holder broken, so it had to be handheld. The bed was too small for a 6-ft adult....
