The decor throughout is ornate and carefully chosen, with character touches that give the apartment a distinctly boutique feel.

The living area is well set up for relaxing in, with a smart TV, a sound system, room-darkening shades, and extra pillows and blankets for those who want to settle in. Natural light fills the space during the day, and views across to the village church add a charm that is hard to find in standard apartments. Portable fans are available for warmer months. The overall feel is one of a stylish, curated retreat — somewhere that lingers in the memory long after you have left.


The layout

Vivian`s is arranged entirely on a single level once inside, making it easy to move around throughout your stay. A private entrance with smart-lock keyless access leads directly into the apartment, where the vaulted open-plan living and kitchen area immediately opens up ahead of you.

Living area
The living room is open-plan and vaulted, with exposed timber beams and a ceiling height that gives the space a real sense of drama. It features a working indoor fireplace with fireplace guards, a smart TV, a sound system, room-darkening shades, extra pillows and blankets, and a striking statement chandelier that anchors the room beautifully. Generous natural light, lush indoor planting, and an open connection to the kitchen create a space that feels sociable, relaxed, and full of life. Portable fans are available for use during warmer months.

Kitchen
The kitchen is fully integrated into the open-plan living space and is well equipped for self-catering stays. It includes a microwave, full-size refrigerator, mini fridge, freezer, hot water kettle, toaster, dishes and silverware, wine glasses, cooking basics, and cleaning products. Tea and coffee are provided. There is a dedicated workspace with Wi-Fi (up to 70 Mbps download) and an Ethernet connection, making Vivian`s a practical and comfortable option for those working remotely during their stay.

Bedroom
The bedroom is a comfortable double, separated from the living area via a short hall for privacy. It features a double bed with bed linen provided, a smart TV, room-darkening blinds, and clothing storage including hangers. The room has a warm, restful feel, with natural light and a well-finished, inviting aesthetic.

Bathroom
The bathroom features a shower enclosure with WC and basin, and is supplied with body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. A hair dryer is also provided. Additional practicalities include a drying rack for clothing, an iron and ironing board, and clothing storage.

Outdoor space
The property has access to a patio, a backyard, and an outdoor dining area with outdoor furniture — a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink during the warmer months of the year.

Castle Donington is a characterful village in the East Midlands with a thriving high street and a strong sense of community. Vivian`s sits directly on the main street, placing guests within steps of independent bars, restaurants, and local shops. The village church — visible from the apartment itself — is one of several historic landmarks that give Castle Donington its distinctive, unhurried character.

The surrounding area offers easy access to the Derbyshire countryside, with rolling landscapes and heritage sites including Calke Abbey and Elvaston Castle Country Park just a short drive away. For motorsport fans and festival-goers, Donington Park — one of the UK`s most celebrated racing circuits and home to the annual Download Festival — is just minutes away by car.

East Midlands Airport sits on the edge of the village and is easily reached by car or on one of the frequent bus services operated by Kinchbus and Trent-Barton throughout the day. The apartment is equally well positioned for exploring the wider region, with Derby, Nottingham, and Loughborough all within easy reach.

Getting around:
• East Midlands Airport — approximately 5 minutes by car or 8 minutes by bus
• Donington Park race circuit — approximately 5 minutes by car
• Loughborough — approximately 15 to 20 minutes by car (around 11 miles via the A6)
• Derby city centre — approximately 20 to 25 minutes by car (around 10 miles via the A6/A50)
• Nottingham city centre — approximately 25 to 30 minutes by car (around 15 miles)

Free street parking is available directly outside the property for guests arriving by car.


Please note — the bar below

The apartment sits directly above a weekend cocktail bar. Friday and Saturday evenings until approximately 11:30 PM in particular can be lively, and some noise from the bar below is to be expected on these nights. Many previous guests have noted that they found this added to the atmosphere and enjoyed it as part of the experience. Guests who are sensitive to noise may wish to keep this in mind when booking for a weekend.

• A cleaning fee of £25 applies per stay.

Booking policy

Full payment is due 30 days before arrival and will be automatically charged to the card on file. If payment fails, it must be completed within 24 hours or the booking will be cancelled. Early payment is allowed; card fees up to 3 percent are non-refundable if cancelled.

Guests are not required to pay a damage deposit in advance. However, we reserve the right to charge up to two hundred pounds per stay to the card on file in the event of any damage.
Upsells such as early check‑in, late check‑out, and add‑on packages are available to enhance your stay. Please note that all upsells are non‑refundable once booked.



Cancellation policy

Full refund if cancelled 30 or more days before arrival. Fifty percent refund if cancelled fourteen to thirty days before arrival. No refund if cancelled within fourteen days of arrival.
