Good but not exactly what expected

The room was really good for an on the beach stay and loved being right on the water for super easy access to the beach, pools, & bar. They even had a boogie board, wagon & toys which was super convenient! There was one major issue that we weren’t made aware of till we got there to check in. The parking garage is under maintenance or something so it’s not available for use so parking is a pain. They have a small parking lot out front of the building and a medium size one to the side that worked but made for a LOT of walking and the side lot didn’t have marked spots so it was a mess at times. Overall it was an amazing experience just wasn’t exactly what we thought when booking. Also was told by host there would be a blow dryer so we didn’t pack one and then there wasn’t one anywhere in the room when we got there. Would HIGHLY recommend The prime rib at Stonewood (close to condo) for dinner if you do decide to book anywhere near here! It was the best prime rib I’ve had and I’ve had a LOT.

Terrible experience with owner, VRBO did ok

I cant give zero stars but I would. Arrived to check in at property for a week and was told by desk staff they had already checked someone into the unit we had booked. Turns out the owner cancelled our booking at 10:42 that morning while we were in the air traveling so I didn’t see the email. Owners note said all amenities were closed and there was damage to the property from a previous hurricane. The complex seemed to be in good shape from what we saw of it at the attempted check in. Not sure why we were even able to make the booking in the first place since the hurricane was over a month ago. So there we were sitting in the parking lot at 4:00 with no accommodations for the week in a location we have never been to, so no previous experience in the area to fall back on. Fortunately a call to VRBO salvaged the first part of the trip as VRBO found a local hotel with availability and put us there for three nights on their dime (the original booking was fully refunded already). Still left on our own to figure out the remainder of our stay, but VRBO did what they could, thanks to Joselyn.

NO POOLS!

I understand there was a hurricane 5 months ago, but at the time of booking it was not stated on this page or the Daytona Beach Resort website that there are no amenities available. You will be looking at broken pools and scattered tile with caution tape. The hotel workers will not answer any questions when asked about the indoor pool (appears to work) it’s bubbling and is clean so it appears to be working!?!? If you have any questions they just tell you to call the owner for all questions. There is only 1/3 working elevators and parking garage is closed. You will need to park next door (no problem) except if the parking lot is full then they want you to park at the shopping plaza across the street. The only thing to do is go to the beach. We inquired about renting chairs/umbrella, it is $40 a day. We were not willing to pay this daily so I bought 2 cheap chairs at Dollar General for $24 and donated them to the room, they are in the closet for the next renter. I guess you could buy a cheap umbrella if you can’t tolerate the sun beating on you all day. I would think the owner would at least invest in a couple of nice beach chairs for the room as that is what other renters told me the owners did for them. Overall, the room was ok for what we expected other than a VERY hard bed, we were able to deal with that but it’s a Murphy bed and the pillows fall off the bed all night in the big space between the wall and bed. Don’t forget to bring your own hair dryer like me as there is not one in the unit. There are nice restaurants and a grocery store nearby making it convenient to everything in Daytona/Ormond beach area. I hope someday they can rebuild and make it a nice place again.

Ready to Sweat?! This is the place to stay

The room was hot when we arrived. I messaged the property manager and said the a/c wasn't working properly. She immediately responded that it was working before we arrived. Went to Walmart to spend $50 on fans so we could try to rest in the hot room. Property manager said she would send someone to check next day. Finally got in touch the next day. Said to they would refund if we could find somewhere to go. A/C repair couldn't be there until the following day. We couldn't find another place to stay. The following day, I messaged asking when a/c repair would be made, only to be told by her it was working fine??? If we turned off the fans it was stifling hot. NOTHING was done to try to make it right. Left a night early,
