Stayed in the room that was on second floor and was listed as having a balcony/patio. I choose this room bc I love sleeping with windows cracked to hear the ocean, however this was not a private blacony/patio as it connected directly with the walkway and stairs of the property, meaning it was no secure. While I'm sure it would have been fine, as a solo female traveler I was not comfortable with leaving the slider door open in an unsecure area.
The view from the room was fabulous ----direct view of beach and ocean. The room itself was fine---large studio room with king bed, kitchen with full fridge/freezer, two electric burners, and plentiful counter space. The furniture seemed a bit mismatched---the table and two chairs had a tablecloth on it that didn't match other decor, such as the tropical couch next to the bed. There was wallpaper (? or some kind of paper design) on the headboard, which also didn't match anything else. It seemed as though there was no consistent theme or color palette. Not a huge deal, but it made the space feel less welcoming than it could have been. While the room was generally clean, there were some stains on the mattress. I always check these things when traveling! There were also some towels that had very minor stains on them as well as some frayed and ripping areas. The slider door lock was broken and thus was secured with a PVC pipe in the door! This was concerning! The screen slide also needed to be repaired as it was off the track.
