Neat Suite is an efficiency apartment 8 blocks from the old downtown McKinney square. It has a complete kitchen and bathroom and an outside crushed pink granite patio. It is in a quite family neighborhood across the street from a small stone church. A walk South will take you by many Victorian houses that McKinney is famous for and you can eat at one of the many quaint eateries on the square and then stroll the square and shop at the cute mom and pop antique and specialty shops. McKinney is unique by design and there are no big chain stores or restaurantson the square. Neat Suite is perfect for business travel or vacationers or folks between houses who need a place while looking for a more permanent residence. Since it is close to the square wedding parties find it convenient to the wedding venues near downtown.

Great location

We enjoyed being so close to downtown McKinney. The building is older and was the perfect size for my hubby and I, but felt it needed a good cleaning (including the furniture). The pillows on the bed were extremely old and need to be replaced. The heat source was a plug in unit as there is no central air or heat. I would not stay here again.

For the most part the property was nice. Came in late access was very dark we had to use car lights to unlock door. Tree limbs hung into the parking area so that getting luggage out of car was difficult. Porch light should’ve been on. The bathroom window had no blinds or curtain and the paint was off areas of the window making the outside view into the bedroom open. There was a dirty bar of soap in the shower. Only 1/2 roll of toilet paper thank goodness we had Kleenex.Hand towels in bathroom looked like May cleaning rags. Under the kitchen sink dirty and rusty, could’ve been corrected with shelve paper. Room was nicely decorated.

Ideal spot

I work with a local community organization. Neat suite is near my workplace but also handy to historic homes and local restaurants. With a grassy area across the street and yard with trees behind it connects with nature and was very comforting.

This studio apartment was perfect for us. We were in town for a family wedding and had other reservations fall through. Lee was very accommodating!! He was such a pleasure to work with. We’d definitely stay here again!!

Overstated Accommodation Quality; Refusal to Refund for Early Departure to Avoid Corona Virus

Misleading Property Listing. Everything is crammed into a very, very small area, no separate bedroom, no heat, no dish washer, inadequate water pressure, extremely small kitchen table, no coffee table near couch. When we gave notice of our need to leave early to avoid the Corona Virus travel issues, owner pretended to agree to refund for unused days; however, he refused to submit early checkout data to VRBO. Even after VRBO told owner he should give us a refund, the owner evidently is still refusing to cooperate.

Cute and cozy and per-friendly

We were in McKinney for a dog sport event at Myers Park. This place offered everything we needed. A comfy bed, compact kitchen, couch, dining table, TV, WiFi, and a yard for the dogs. Every retail/dining thing you need is nearby. Yet the neighborhood is quit and very pleasant. This was our first trip to McKinney, and when we come back, we’d prefer to stay here.

Bluebonnet room

After staying at a very depressing Extended Stay hotel while between houses, we were so lucky to find such a wonderful property! The “bluebonnet room” was not only gorgeous, but filled with so many thoughtful amenities. The property owners even dropped by some toys for our toddler to make her feel more at home. You can’t beat the walkable location and welcoming feel of McKinney. Our highest recommendations to the Lander’s for creating such a beautiful home away from home for us!
